Chengde | Putuo Zongcheng Temple - Lhasa alternative!

📅Jan 16, 2025 ⛩️Putuo Zongcheng Temple 🔺Also known as the "Little Potala Palace," it is the largest temple among the Eight Outer Temples of the Chengde Mountain Resort. It was built by order of Emperor Qianlong to celebrate his 60th birthday and the 80th birthday of Empress Dowager Chongqing, modeled after the Potala Palace in Lhasa. 📷The scenic area is very photogenic, and there are relatively few people during the National Day holiday. I went on October 1, and it was raining in the morning, but the weather was great with blue skies and white clouds when I was visiting! Climbing to the top floor, you can see the obvious traces of war invasion on the top of the tower. If you want to take a panoramic photo of the Little Potala Palace, you need to go to the wall of the mountain area of the Mountain Resort.
