Recommended hotels near Chaozhou Ancient City: comfortable and affordable!

It wasn't until I stayed at this hotel in Chaozhou that I realized it's part of a chain called the Meili Hotel Group, which also owns many other brands. They're probably more common in Guangdong. I booked a basic room at the beginning of the month and ended up spending just over 200 yuan. After splitting the bill with a friend, it was a steal. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chaozhou; it's very affordable and great value! The hotel is in a great location, right next to Chaozhou Old Town and within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing. We arrived late, and the front desk wasn't busy, so we didn't have to wait in line. The staff upgraded us to a larger room, which was a nice touch. The room also came with welcome fruit and some local snacks, which was a nice touch. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, making it convenient for guests to use separately. The bedding was average, not particularly good. The hotel has a laundry room, but there are a few machines, so you have to wait in line. There's no staff to deliver the laundry to your room, so you have to pick it up yourself.
