Our Lady of the Jewel of Chanthaburi Cathedral

#HawaiiFlightEvent I stopped by a small city called Chanthaburi The reason I stopped by here was to see the Virgin Mary statue made of jewels at the Chanthaburi Cathedral. I heard that Chanthaburi is a city famous for jewels So, It seems that they expressed the sacredness that does not exist in the world using jewels with about 200,000 sapphires, emeralds, and rubies. They say it is the most beautiful cathedral in Thailand!! I sometimes see cathedrals, but the Chanthaburi Cathedral was definitely different This cathedral was built in 1711, and it has such a long history that I had to be as polite as possible when entering the cathedral. To the eye, it just looks like a sparkling Virgin Mary statue but if you look closely, you can see that it is a Virgin Mary statue delicately expressed one by one with jewels. The more you look at it, the more you can't help but be amazed. This is a statue of the Virgin Mary. There is a caretaker here all the time, and you can't see it from very close.
