#AprilGoodDestinations2025 This is a story of 300,000 people and 3 generations. Every year, it is about April to May. This year, it is from May 1st to May 11th, a total of ten days, and the pilgrimage journey is 400 kilometers. Because of the May Day holiday a few days ago, I stayed at my homestay waiting for guests, waiting for the weekdays to set off to the south on May 7th to May 8th, and experienced my first pilgrimage to the Baishatun Ancestral Temple. It was my first experience as an incense burner. On 5/7, I was going to take a short walk in the countryside of Changhua, but it was raining like a typhoon that day. On the way to Taichung, the rain soaked my body and shoes, so I had to give up. And 5/8 was a super hot day, so we set off at 6am 👈💪 Arrived at Changhua Station from Taichung early in the morning, and was going to Xiushui Township to pick up the Mazu pilgrimage team. Well, there were too many people, more than 300,000, and the bus did not run at all that day. If I walked 7 kilometers, I was afraid that Mazu would not have enough energy to cross the bridge to Taichung today. Taxis were super expensive, so I waited at the bus station to see if there was a bus. Well, there was no bus for 1.5 hours +, so I went to Starbucks to wait, and then I saw that Mazu was taking a lunch break, and I came across a bed shop for everyone to lie down. It took a total of 3 hours ☕, and it took 4.5 hours to wait for the Mazu team to come in the afternoon. It really takes enough time and energy. I don’t worry about eating, as long as I am pious. There are free drinks, water, noodles, and buns on the road. I can still eat enough without dry food because I didn’t follow the 20 kilometers in the morning. I estimated that I would walk about 10 kilometers in the afternoon, and I might be back in Taichung City. However, when the sun was setting🏜️, I saw Mazu at the Dadu River Bridge. Well, my first day of pilgrimage from Hualien over the mountains was quite successful✔️ It was really hot and the pilgrimage was full of energy. No matter it was a business, school, unit, etc., there were cheers and gifts, and the sunset in the west made me forget the fatigue of my body. This memory of three generations has lasted for 200 years and is a veritable local cultural heritage🌐 #NewYear2025
