Wat Chaiyo Worawihan or Wat Kesachaiyo

The highlight of the temple is the Phra Maha Phutthaphim or Luang Pho To, which is Rattanakosin art, in the meditation posture, with legs crossed. It is a sacred Buddha image that the people of Ang Thong worship. It was built by Somdej Phra Buddhacarya (To Phrommarangsi) during the reign of King Rama IV or around 1857-1862, making Wat Chaiyo Worawihan a famous temple.
