Mount Fairweather

Mount Fairweather is a prominent peak located in the Saint Elias Mountains on the border between the U.S. state of Alaska and the Canadian province of British Columbia. It stands at 15,325 feet (4,671 meters), making it one of the tallest coastal mountains in the world. Despite its name, the weather around the mountain is often harsh, with frequent storms and unpredictable conditions. The mountain is part of Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska and Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park in British Columbia, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Due to its remote location and difficult weather, Mount Fairweather is a challenging climb, attracting experienced mountaineers. It also has cultural significance to the indigenous Tlingit people, who have known the mountain for centuries.
