Cairns Museum

#australiatrip Very informative about the history of the city of Cairns. Lots of people stories on display which brings a personal feel, with the photos attached to the stories you almost feel like you are taken back to those times. I realise it is called the Cairns Museum therefore is about Cairns, but I was expecting a bit more about Cape York as a region, and perhaps something about the unique flora and fauna - there was hardly anything about the wildlife surrounding the Cairns area, apart from a small section about what animals would like to eat you here. Overall very happy with my 1.5 hour visit, would come back for sure.
