Budapest 3-Day Travel Diary｜Winter Fairy Tale and Danube River Sunset

📍 · Parliament Building → Chain Bridge → Christmas Market → Night Tram Tour ▪️ Arrived in the afternoon and headed straight to the Parliament Building, where I met some super friendly local kids who kept complimenting me and wanted to take photos together 🥹 (Hungarian kids are just too sweet!) ▪️ Strolled along the Danube River to Chain Bridge, where the golden light at dusk on the river looked like an oil painting 🖼️ ▪️ After dinner, caught the church’s hourly light show + Christmas market mulled wine 🍷, reluctant to leave early so hopped on a tram for a night tour—the nights in Budapest are so enchanting! 📍 · Fisherman’s Bastion Sunrise → Liberty Bridge → Central Market → Danube River Cruise ▪️ Rushed to Fisherman’s Bastion to watch the sunrise 🌅! The empty castle and pink dawn were a perfect match, took photos until 9 a.m. before leaving～ ▪️ Central Market fridge magnets were cheap but the food was a disappointment 💥 ▪️ In the afternoon, visited Liberty Square and trendy souvenir shops, postcard lovers rejoice 🎑 ▪️ Boarded the cruise before sunset 🚢, after 4 p.m. the city fell into the blue hour, and the moment the Parliament Building lit up, everyone gasped! ▪️ Dinner at “ ” was super romantic, and on the way back, met a foreigner fluent in Chinese who chatted with me for an hour 😂 📍 · Buda Castle ▪️ Slept in and went for brunch 🍳, it was super delicious! ▪️ Climbed Buda Castle to overlook the red rooftops, instantly understood the aesthetic inspiration behind The Grand Budapest Hotel 💕 📌 ➊ Choose the sunset time for the cruise! The Danube turns into a river of sparkling diamonds ➋ Fisherman’s Bastion is free before 7 a.m., but gets crowded after 8 a.m. ➌ Buy a 72-hour public transport pass to hop on trams anytime and explore the alleys “This city has carved romance into its bricks and the light of dawn and dusk”
