College Students Brave Budapest for 5 Days

Budapest is divided into two parts: Buda (Castle District) and Pest (City Center), with the Danube River running through the middle. Attractions are concentrated, transportation is simple, and prices are relatively cheap in Europe, making it very suitable for students and first-time travelers to Europe. 📍 Must-Visit Attractions 1. Hungarian Parliament The most iconic building in Budapest, spectacular during the day and even more beautiful with golden lights at night. 😼 Free to take photos outside. Interior visits require a fee. 2. Fisherman’s Bastion The most popular spot in Buda Castle District, white wall buildings + panoramic city views are great for photos. 😼 Open areas are free, some towers require a fee. 3. Buda Castle Within walking distance from Fisherman’s Bastion, the whole area is great for strolling. The scenery is beautiful on good weather days. 😼 Free admission. 4. Matthias Church The colorful roof on the exterior is very special, great for photos with Fisherman’s Bastion. 😼 Free to take photos outside; interior visits cost 3100 forints. Students get discounts, and non-EU students can show an ISIC card. 5. Danube Cruise (Highly Recommended)❗️ See the night views of the Parliament, Castle District, and Chain Bridge along the river. 😼 Price is about 10 euros (buy on the official website, no need to queue on-site). Budapest is definitely worth seeing after the lights come on. 6. Széchenyi Thermal Bath Budapest’s famous outdoor thermal bath, the water is very hot and especially comfortable in winter. 😼 Tickets cost about 15–22 euros, student tickets have discounts on some dates, student ID required. 7. Heroes’ Square + City Park Great for walking and taking photos at the large square, usually planned on the same day as the thermal baths. 😼 Free admission.
