Tepus Valley Waterfall - Pamijahan Bogor

Saturday morning, I woke up a little late but remained enthusiastic, departing from Jakarta for Pamijahan, Bogor. The roads were a bit busy, but as soon as I entered the Mount Halimun Salak National Park area, the atmosphere immediately changed: cool air, tall green trees, and a light mist in the morning air. As we drove to the parking lot, my friends and I chatted about how cool the Instagram feeds of those who had already been there were. After parking, we walked for about 5 to 10 minutes along a gentle, stone and dirt path, perfect for taking photos. Not far from there, we were greeted by the sound of trickling water and terraced natural pools. The water was crystal clear, turquoise in places, and quite shallow at the edges—perfect for children or anyone unfamiliar with swimming. I immediately took off my shoes and jumped into the water, which was cool but refreshing. There were several spots with large rocks where we could sit and feel the splashing water and the gentle breeze passing through the trees. While enjoying the moment, we found a hut/gazebo on the edge of the waterfall to relax—have coffee, chat, and enjoy the fresh air. During the day, small stalls in the area offer instant noodles, fried snacks, coffee, and tea. We ordered hot drinks and snacks, waiting for the sun to shine brighter so the light could penetrate the waterfall for more dramatic photos. After enjoying the water and taking photos, we returned to the parking lot in the late afternoon, leaving with a sense of satisfaction and a clear head. #tripoutdoor (+) •Entrance fee is cheap: only around IDR 10,000/person for regular tours. •Beautiful natural pools and tiered waterfalls, clear water, and lush tropical scenery. •The path to the waterfall is not too strenuous, about a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot, suitable for all ages. •Basic facilities are available: a stall, bathrooms/changing rooms, a prayer room, and a hut/gazebo for relaxing. •A camping ground is available for those who want to spend the night and enjoy the natural atmosphere. (-) •Crowds on weekends and holidays can be quite disruptive — parking lines, and it can be a bit difficult to find a clean and private spot. •The garden path and pool can be slippery, especially after rain. Wet rocks and moss can pose a slipping hazard. •The pool is quite deep in some spots, so it's not suitable for young children who can't swim yet or those who lack confidence in deep water. Entrance Fee 10,000 Entrance Fee to the Mount Halimun Area - + 18,500 (through the back entrance), 35,000 through the front entrance Motorcycle Parking 5,000
