Visit Beijing Archives

This was my first time visiting Beijing Archives. I was surprised to find such a rich collection of historical archives here. The archives span more than 400 years and cover politics, economy, culture, education, sports and health, religion, and urban construction. You can see the Da Ming Hun Yi Tu, the Golden Book and Iron Certificate from the reign of Emperor Yingzong of the Ming dynasty, the will of Emperor Kangxi, the honor roll from the reign of Emperor Guangxu, and maps of Beijing from the Liao and Jin dynasties. You can also learn about the construction of the central axis of Beijing. Through a large number of objects, pictures, models, and statues, you can learn more about the historical events that took place in Beijing, the historical figures that appeared here, the development of culture and art, and the customs and traditions of the city. After visiting here, you will feel that you knew very little about Beijing before, and you will feel that Beijing Archives is truly a treasure trove.
