Beijing Beihai Park Wulong Pavilion The Wulong Pavilion extends into the water and consists of five pavilions, all of which are square and arranged in a staggered manner. The jade pavilions are connected by bridges and white jade railings in an S-shape, resembling a giant dragon, hence the name Long Pavilion. The middle pavilion is the largest and is called Longze Pavilion, which was used by the feudal emperors and empresses for fishing, moon-watching, and fireworks. The other four pavilions were places for civil and military officials to accompany fishing. Beijing is very hot in summer, but the Wulong Pavilion is cool and breezy, making it a great place to escape the heat. Sitting in the pavilion, you can look at the White Pagoda in the distance and see the pavilion eaves and the White Pagoda complementing each other, which is wonderful.
