Beiding Niangniang Temple

🏡Beiding Niangniang Temple is one of the famous "Five Dings" in Beijing's history. It is a landmark building on the north extension of the central axis of Beijing and a physical witness to the development of Beijing and its folk customs. In 2003, Beiding Niangniang Temple was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Beijing. 🏠Beiding Niangniang Temple was built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty (1426–1485) and was rebuilt during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The temple enshrines Bixia Yuanjun, Niangniang of Eyesight, Niangniang of Childbirth, Dongyue Emperor, Jade Emperor, Guan Emperor, and Medicine King. The entire temple covers an area of about 9,700 square meters, with an ancient building area of about 1,200 square meters and a site area of about 3,000 square meters. The main buildings along the central axis are Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Niangniang Hall, Dongyue Hall, and Jade Emperor Hall, with a total of four courtyards. 📝Tips: 1. Opening hours: 08:30–16:30 (last entry 16:00) Closed on Mondays (except public holidays). 2. Visiting method: Free admission (no reservation required). 3. Admission instructions: (1) Minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. (2) If the temple is closed due to major events held in the Olympic Park or other reasons, a notice will be posted in front of Beiding Niangniang Temple and on the official website of the Beijing Folk Museum.
