China Oil Painting Academy, affiliated with the Chinese National Academy of Arts, is a national-level oil painting institution. Located in Gaobeidian Culture and Art New Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing, it was transformed from an old factory. The red-brick factory buildings have been converted into exhibition halls and office buildings with a sense of the times, and there is also a very distinctive church. Upon entering the gate of the academy, you can see this minimalist church building, which is overall gray-white in color, with textured cement walls, a pointed roof, golden arches, and in front of the door, there are long stairs and a protective wall, giving the impression of being in Morocco, hence it is known as 'Little Morocco in Beijing.' Some also say it resembles the seaside church in Aranya, so it is also called 'Beijing Aranya.' It is a great place for wedding photos. Below the church, there is a cafe where you can rest. Walking through the side door leads to a three-story red-brick castle, a niche yet stunning oil painting museum. The three-story building's facade is made of stacked red bricks, with Moroccan-style doors and porches, and tall arched windows, giving it an exotic feel. Inside the exhibition hall is a cement industrial style, where the industrial feel and the artworks intermingle, perfectly blending architectural aesthetics with oil painting aesthetics. You can view the exhibitions for free, and it's a quiet place. The parking lot is right in front of the church.
