🏡 Wat Pradu Chimphli, originally named Wat Chimphli, is located in an area filled with cotton trees. People often refer to it as Wat Pradu Nok, in contrast to Wat Pradu Nai (Wat Pradu Nai Songtham). It was built during the reign of King Rama III by Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Phichai Yat (Tat Bunnag, who acquired the land and constructed the temple, completed during the reign of King Rama IV). The important and interesting features within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot (ordination hall), a brick and mortar building constructed in the royal style of King Rama III, houses Luang Pho Sukhothai, Phra Phuttha Samphanmuni, a Buddha image in the Mara Vichaya posture. ⛺ Two Viharas (sanctuaries) enshrine the Reclining Buddha and a standing Buddha image. 🛕 A round Mon-style chedi with a frog base, an octagonal throne, and lotus decorations above the throne and below the spire. It features typical Mon-style chedi decorations, with surrounding pillars and terraces.
