I didn't have much time, so I only saw the city and the Brunei River, but I was able to fully experience the quiet and unique atmosphere of the city in that short time!!😃 The city was much quieter and more deserted than I thought. Even though it was a weekday afternoon, there weren't many cars on the road, and there weren't many people walking on the streets, so it felt like a city that was moving slowly. There were almost no high-rise buildings, and most government offices and stores had neat and tidy exteriors. In particular, each building had a slightly different architectural style, so it wasn't boring while walking, and structures that reflected Islamic culture were also noticeable. There were many small parks and well-landscaped spaces in the city center, and the trees and flowers were neatly arranged, giving the city an overall quiet and organized feel. As I walked along the streets, the air felt clean and clear, and I was impressed by how cleanly it was managed without a single piece of trash. Since it is a Muslim country, I could see mosques all over the city, and the golden dome seen from afar was particularly impressive. I didn't go inside the mosque, but I was impressed by its size and beauty even from the outside. Even the buildings in the city center often have a restrained beauty rather than being flashy, so there was a calm atmosphere throughout the city. ✌️ The Brunei River is close to the city center, so I walked there as if I was taking a walk. The river was wide and calm, and the gentle movement of the waves seemed to capture the atmosphere of the city. There were benches along the river, and there were places where you could sit quietly and enjoy the breeze. Even without looking for special tourist attractions, I was able to spend a peaceful and leisurely time on my own!!👍 Maybe because there weren't many tourists, there was no noise overall, and it was an experience where I could feel the leisurely feeling of the city breathing.
