The Big Wall and 7 Padian Murals

#weekendgetaways The biggest mural in Brunei, named The Big Wall, was part of a project to beautify the surroundings of Jalan Roberts in the capital and turn it into a pedestrian walkway. The mural is behind the BIBD Ar-Rahnu building and it stands at about fifteen storeys high. Standing high, it demands the attention of all passersby. Designed and created by a collective of local graffiti and independent street artists, this incredible art piece features the national flower Bunga Simpur and Jawi calligraphy, as well as the iconic Kampong Ayer.I walked a long way just to see this wall. It was worth every.single.step! Highly recommended.
