Ubud Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve: A Hidden Gem

We chose the Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, in Ubud, Bali, for this trip, and it truly is a luxurious and secluded paradise. The hotel is located on the picturesque Ayung River, about a 1.5-hour drive from the airport. The airport transfer service was very professional, ensuring a worry-free journey to the resort. ✈️ From the moment we arrived, we could feel the hotel's unique charm. Mandapa is part of Ritz-Carlton's Reserve collection, emphasizing understated luxury and natural seclusion. The hotel's design blends seamlessly with nature, nestled amidst lush greenery, with every detail exuding a rich Balinese flair. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the check-in process was completed in our room, which was a super thoughtful touch! Each room also has a dedicated butler service to help arrange activities and transportation. 🏡 As for the room experience, the rooms are spacious and tranquil, with stylish and modern decor while retaining a strong local character. Our room overlooked the Ayung River, offering a refreshing view of greenery right outside the window. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep throughout our stay. The room amenities were comprehensive, even including fresh milk for our baby. 🛏️🌿 The hotel offers a wide range of activities, with excellent facilities including a kids' club, gym, yoga studio, and swimming pool. 📸 Breakfast is served by the Ayung River, allowing guests to enjoy their meal while listening to the soothing sounds of flowing water. Besides the delicious breakfast, the hotel's dinner options are also outstanding, especially Kubu restaurant, which boasts Michelin-star quality. The complimentary fruit platter by the pool is another thoughtful touch. 🌞🍽️ There are many worthwhile restaurants nearby, such as Balinese Home Cooking, Room 4 Dessert, and Honey & Smoke, offering a variety of Balinese specialties. Food lovers shouldn't miss these! We also went white-water rafting nearby, which we recommend booking in advance (it costs around RMB 1,200 per person). 🍲🍕🚣‍♂️ The only minor drawback was the slightly slow response from the butler service at night, possibly due to one butler attending to multiple rooms. However, overall, the service here is superb, with incredibly enthusiastic and professional staff. Every greeting felt genuinely warm. 🏝️ In short, we had an unforgettable vacation at Mandapa. The comfortable environment, attentive service, and delicious food made it hard to leave. Whether for a family vacation or a honeymoon, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is a perfect choice.
