A town of De Haar and Gothic houses

Andalusia Tours ~ Huelva (Region) Tejar and Gothic houses and a mosque are part of the urban center of Almonaster la Real, which has been declared a Historic and Artistic Site. The town is located in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena y los Picos de Aroche Nature Reserve, one of the most important in Andalusia and which occupies the entire northern part of Huelva. Its city centre extends to the foot of a 9th-century castle-fortress, while the Nuestra Señora de la Concepción church-mosque is classified as a cultural site. The 15th-century Monastery of Santa Eularia de Mérida is also an interesting monument, built on a Roman temple and declared a National Monument for its beautiful 14th- and 16th-century frescoes with scenes of the Apostle Santiago, and the Parish Church of San Martín, in Mudejar-Gothic style with a Manueline façade. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Andalucia
