I stayed at the natural hot spring, Tento no Yu, Dormy Inn Abashiri, a 10-minute walk from Abashiri Station. About access: It's a 10-minute walk straight down the main street in front of the station, so you won't get lost. There's a Seico Mart on the way there, and a 7-Eleven right in front, so it's convenient. There's welcome coffee at the entrance. Toothbrushes and other amenities are not in the rooms, but at the entrance, so you can take what you need by yourself. I booked a double room because I was traveling alone. When you enter the guest room, there is a clothes hanger, a sink, a toilet, and a shower room, and beyond that is the room, separated by a sliding door. The door from the guest room door gives you a sense of security. It was a relaxing space. The shower room is equipped with shampoo and body soap, but we went to the large public bath. The large public bath on the top floor is the natural hot spring that Dormy Inn is known for. The large public bath also has a sauna and a half open-air bath. The half open-air bath is about the size of 3 people, so I recommend going when it's crowded. In the evening, you get ice cream after your bath, and in the morning you get a lactic acid drink. This is a nice perk, so I went in the evening and in the morning 🎶 There is a coin laundry and vending machines on the same floor. At night, they serve midnight noodles. This is another feature of Dormy Inn. At the cafeteria on the second floor, you can get a half-sized ramen with a light flavor in the evening. If you go around 9:30pm when you're feeling a little hungry, there are a few people there. In the morning, they serve buffets in the same venue. The food was a good balance of Japanese and Western dishes. I was happy to see the small dishes lined up, as I like to eat a variety of things. They also make omelets on the spot. And I think their specialty is crab rice and seafood! I enjoyed a lot of self-made seafood bowls on red vinegar rice. I was planning to do some sightseeing after checking out and then go to the airport, but they offer luggage storage before and after check-in. (After checking out, you must pick it up on the same day.) This was also helpful, but it was raining and they even lent us an umbrella, which was a huge help. It's just a 2-minute walk to the Abashiri Bus Terminal, where the bus to the airport leaves, so it's easy to access even for those without a car.
