Soaking in the hot spring, feeling nature's gift, all the fatigue of the day instantly vanished. 🌟 I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Hokkaido 𓂃✈︎ Lake Utonai, located in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, is a beautiful lake also known as a "wild bird paradise." I visited in early winter, and the clear air and crisp coldness made Lake Utonai even more attractive. The golden trees and the blue-gray lake surface are just like a painting. As I breathed in the clear air and looked at the quiet scenery, I felt like my soul was being cleansedˊ˗ Bird watching seems to be a popular activity at Lake Utonai in early winter, and you can enjoy the spectacular view of about 270 species of migratory birds, including whooper swans, whooper swans, and white-fronted geese. I regretted not bringing a telephoto lens, but it was a nice time to stare at the birds flying in flocks in the distance🦢 There is a promenade along the lakeside, so it's perfect for a walk. There is also a shop selling pork buns and hokki bento lunches in addition to the food court. Items purchased from the food corner outside on the parking lot side, such as soba noodles and sweets, can be brought into the building. There are also vending machines for hot drinks and juice. Shopping: There is a local specialty corner and souvenir shop. There are many famous products from Hokkaido, mainly Tomakomai products.

I went to the main store of Aji no Daioh, which apparently has several stores in Tomakomai city!!! Inside the store, I bought a meal ticket, handed it to the staff, received a bell, sat down, and went to pick up my gyoza when the bell rang. The staff brought the gyoza to my seat. Speaking of Tomakomai, curry ramen and hokki curry are the best! This time I chose hokki curry and spicy miso mini ramen. I would have been fine with a double curry, but my companion was eating curry ramen, so I got a bite. The gyoza was really delicious, and on the way back I found a souvenir vending machine and decided to buy some next time. When in Hokkaido, my husband brought me to Loghouse Bibi Wagyu Restaurant for dinner. It was the perfect place for couples as it offers a unique dining experience in a place made of wood logs. I mean how often do we get to dine in a log house, back home in Singapore? The restaurant was quite near the airport, making it convenient to navigate and self drive to the place. The ambience was warm, cozy and somewhat romantic. Food wise, Log house Bibi restaurant offers amazingly good beef platters. The meat was juicy and melted in our mouths. Servers would also help to grill our meat, using the charcoal grill, which helped to add more flavour to the meat. Price is a little steep but definitely worth it for the quality of our wagyu beef. It's definitely an unforgettable meal for us both at Loghouse Bibi and much needed quality time over a meal! #valentinescape

During our last trip to Hokkaido, we decided to rent a car to get around in Japan since we had a 18 month kid in tow. After we picked up our rental car at Chitose Airport branch, we drove about 10 mins to the Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant to have our first meal in Hokkaido. Known for their juicy, tender wagyu beef and more, this Japanese barbeque restaurant is one of the must tries once you touch down in Hokkaido. The interior is warm and cosy and it resembles a log cabin! The prices are not cheap but given the quality of the beef, it was well worth it! Go during lunch as it will be more friendly on your pockets. This place is accessible only by car so do take note of this. Its located next to a river where you can take nice photos as well. This is a freshwater lake in the eastern part of Tomakomai City. In the middle of winter, it freezes over, and the surface is covered in white snow.
