#Beautiful temple coordinates Wat Salak, one of the legends of King Taksin the Great Wat Salak is located in Tambon Tha Som, Khao Saming District, Trat Province. During the time when King Taksin led his army to Chanthaburi to gather troops to save the nation when Ayutthaya was lost in 2310, during the journey, a monsoon occurred. King Taksin therefore entered Ao Ban Salak with his soldiers to escape the monsoon. Then, he set up a pavilion here until the monsoon subsided, and then led his army to travel by boat to Chanthaburi. Later, the villagers considered it a sacred place and an auspicious place for the village of Salak Kha Mu (Ban Salak). The villagers therefore worked together to build a temple and a church at the residence of King Taksin in the late Ayutthaya period, which still remains in Ban Salak to the present day. Another highlight of this temple is the temple's vihara (old church). Inside, there is a Buddha statue in the meditation posture, a pattern of jasmine flowers, and a footprint of the Lord Buddha. Trat airport is small but quite quaint. From checkin counters to security checks to waiting hall and arrival area are all uniquely Thai. There is no air conditioning in all the areas but the high ceiling and windowless allow constant breeze airing out the area. It actually is very comfortable with the breeze. There is a restaurant (only air conditioned area) and a small shop for drinks and snacks. There is a counter by BIR to arrange transport to Koh Chang. In addition there are songtiao drivers seeking one way businesses.

#AirlineReview I just went to Koh Chang on December 5-7, 2022. I would like to review a very comfortable and short-lasting way to travel, which is flying. Currently, Bangkok Airways flies to Trat Airport twice a day, at noon and in the evening. I flew at 11:40 on the outbound flight and returned at 16:30. The new propeller plane was fully occupied on the outbound flight. On the return flight, it was about 60% full, so the return flight was comfortable and loose. Propeller planes use gate buses (Suvarnabhumi). At Trat Airport, there is a fancy electric train to take you to the passenger terminal. The food on the plane is now served in full. There is a boutique lounge at Suvarnabhumi to comfortably wait for boarding. At Trat Airport, it is a tropical, open-air airport, but there are also snacks and drinks available. On the return flight, I chose a fruit plate. I asked to change to a regular meal. The flight attendant was kind and brought both dishes for me. I was full. Every time I go to Koh Chang, I always fly Bangkok Airways. I will review the journey from Trat Airport to Koh Chang.
