It contains some historical artifact for the rice plantation not just in Kedah as well as from different countries in Asia. The exhibitions are quite extensive. It’s a school holiday! So, I’m travelling to Alor Setar, Kedah. I’m staying at Grand Alora Hotel in Bandar Baru Mergong. By staying at this hotel, we can get free parking for guest. Got some facilities like spa, swimming pool and gym but currently the facilities are all under maintenance. The hotel also is facing with Lotus’ Mall and got street stalls in front of the hotel 🍗🌯🍜 Furthermore, we can get affordable breakfast buffet, ADULT (RM20) & KIDS (RM10). As we booked with no breakfast included. So we pay for that price during check in. However, the receptionist said that the price will become RM25 (adult) for walk in. So please confirm first during check in. Don’t worry girls! The iron and board prepared in each room!! And don’t worry boys! The room also has a fridge so you guys can buy carbonate drink! Wihiii~ My room also got table for work and I’m glad because I’m currently WFH 👩‍💻. What’s amazing is, you may get the view of paddy field! The staffs are also friendly and very helpful. They give well explanations to our inquiry. #newyearadventure Went here for a night with friends. There are 3 diff room rate, the amenities provided in the rooms are the same. Highest rate is pool access. Lowest is the garden view. Its very relaxing . The room is a little bit small than expected . No tv, no heater . But you can get hot water from the coway at cafe . This museum is located near to Alor Star Stadium. The admission is free of charge. Inside the museum there are 5 floors exhibiting relics relating to state of Kedah. Among the items on display are ancient tombs, traditional attires, historical documents, traditional weapons, local handcraft and many others. Visitors are not allowed to take pictures inside the museum. The parking space are huge. The interior is very clean and comfortable. #tripblazers

The airport is just next door. Bumped into the Perak Raja Di Hilir Royal Family during check-in....Nice ID, modern design..surrounded with paddy field. Just a few km from Istana Anak Bukit. Many famous eatery along the road outside the hotel.

This is my newly discovered hidden spot for dinner. Located at Alor Mengkudu, Alor Setar Kedah, the specialty of this restaurant are baryani rice serve in bamboo and also Lamb Shank Singapore style. The baryani rice is sooo delicious. The smell of ghee oil they use in the rice is really fragrance. The portion is enough for 2 adults. The Lamb Shank in red gravy Singapore style is indeed a killer menu in this restaurant. The price I would say ranging from RM30-35 per person.
