The location is superb, right by Moon Pond, and as soon as you open the courtyard gate, you're greeted by the unique ancient charm of Huizhou. The entire old house is steeped in 300 years of history, with rich Huizhou architectural charm. The courtyard is exquisitely maintained, and you can feel the strong cultural heritage everywhere. The owner is particularly thoughtful, offering to pick up and drop off luggage at the scenic area entrance, saving us the hassle of dragging bags through the ancient village. The environment is quiet and pleasant. Sitting in the courtyard, admiring the upturned eaves of the old house, you can escape the city's hustle and bustle and fully immerse yourself in the slow pace of life in Hongcun. "Our stay at Tanshe Hotel for this Huizhou trip far exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, the butler proactively upgraded our room. The room itself was incredibly well-designed, offering panoramic views of the tea mountains outside the window. In spring, you can even experience tea picking firsthand. A major bonus was having breakfast delivered directly to our room, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal in a relaxed setting without having to rush out. The butler service was very prompt, responding quickly to any requests. The only minor inconvenience was that the room's refrigerator wasn't cooling, so we had to store some items at the front desk, but the butler handled it very well."

"This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value."

"I booked two nights, and the first night there was no hot water, so I couldn't shower. The temperature was also low. The front desk service was excellent; they not only handled the situation promptly but also helped me find a heater and adjusted the air conditioning. Parking is free in the parking lot opposite the hotel, but getting your car requires walking along a stone path and crossing a bridge—about 300 meters, which is inconvenient for guests with luggage. The room facilities were decent, but there were clearly not enough electrical outlets. The breakfast set menu was quite good. Overall, this is a guesthouse with excellent service."

First, I was assigned a butler named Amy, who provided warm and thoughtful service. She sent me WeChat updates on all the hotel's activities and told me to let her know if I needed anything at any time. It felt very considerate. The environment is also beyond praise; it's very close to Lucun Village, and the views from the balcony and the hotel lobby are simply stunning. It felt like I didn't even need to leave the hotel to experience the beauty of Huizhou. The hotel offers a rich variety of activities, like the fish lantern parade and the close-up experience of iron flower making, which were brilliant. My child also participated in various pastry-making sessions. The chefs were wonderful; we joined three times, and each time the师傅 (master/chef) was great with both kids and adults. The pastries we made were truly delicious. The only downside was the room where we made pastries; it might be too close to the outside, as it was a bit warm. I hope they can improve that. The housekeeping and valet staff were also exceptionally courteous and provided thorough service. All in all, my trip to Banyan Tree Huangshan was absolutely delightful!"

It's a typical Hui-style old house renovation, preserving the wooden courtyard and carved windows; staying there felt like stepping back in time. The service is really attentive ❤️. Before staying at the hotel, the housekeeper will come in advance and add WeChat to set up a WeChat service group, inform the location, and come to greet you. When delivering, he also gave you a souvenir handmade in the store. The children and elders all enjoyed their stay. We could see the starry sky in our room at night. The children were very surprised and kept asking if they could continue to stay here tomorrow? ! The room is consistent with the picture of the reservation. The special mountain spring water and welcome dinner in the store are very considerate. The breakfast is also 10 kinds of which are very balanced and rich. The welcome dog Wangzai is very cute. The courtyard has a great design, perfect for taking photos and checking in. However, the downside is that during the day, many tourists pass by and even enter the courtyard to take pictures, making it very noisy. It's almost impossible to get some rest or a quick nap indoors during the day. In contrast, it's very quiet at night, and the ambiance is excellent. The distinctive Huizhou architectural style is prominent, and overall it's quite good. The owner also arranges for an uncle to pick up guests and luggage from the bus station, and their responses are very prompt. Courtyard No. 2 is only a five-minute walk from Yueyao Pond and the Ancestral Temple, making it ideal for early risers to snap photos before the crowds arrive.

Zhang Mansion is much more than just a hotel: it is an authentic experience inside an ancient traditional mansion, perfectly immersed in the historic atmosphere of Hongcun. It almost feels like being transported back in time, into the quiet and refined beauty of China from several centuries ago.
The interiors are full of charm, history, and character, and staying here allows you to experience the village in a much deeper way than a simple day visit. The atmosphere is calm, evocative, and almost cinematic.
A very sweet detail: the property’s cat and dog are genuinely lovely and add an even warmer, more memorable touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic, romantic, and timeless stay.

I visited Hongcun with family and friends and stayed at the 30·SANGSH Hotel.
Overall, the experience was very comfortable. The Hui-style aesthetic design was very tasteful, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the two bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Cleanliness and environment deserve full marks, and the service and facilities were also excellent.
The only minor drawback was the balcony view, which was just average. However, its proximity to Hongcun makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the area, making it ideal for those who want a comfortable stay while also enjoying easy access to Hongcun.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were very efficient. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around, and there's a convenience store right downstairs. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with both Western and Chinese options. The city night view from the window was stunning, and the soundproofing in the room was excellent too. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this is an absolutely fantastic choice. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in this city, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

I'm very satisfied with everything, the only downside is the poor soundproofing.
Located in the scenic area, it's convenient to go anywhere. The owner even offers to help with luggage in a small car, which is super convenient. Although it's a bit old, everything is very clean, and the balcony is quite large. Excellent value for money.
The only downside is the soundproofing. The balcony is connected to the neighbor's, which is a bit awkward. Even with the doors and windows closed, you can clearly hear anyone talking in the yard. It's quite noisy during the day, but very quiet at night.

The service attitude is very good. The guy at the hotel front desk will call in advance to pick us up from the parking lot. He will take our luggage with us to the entrance of the ancient village on an electric bicycle. The room is on the first floor. It is very clean and spacious. There is a swing in the yard, which makes it feel very cozy. You also get snacks and free mineral water when you check in. The location is particularly good. After walking a few dozen meters, we arrived at the big banyan tree at the entrance of the village. It was a quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle. There were also some B&Bs around, but when I passed by, I felt that the yard of this one was the most beautiful.
