"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sannomiya Station and the green Kobe Shimbun building. However, the hotel itself is a bit tucked away. I really struggle with Google Maps' walking directions; the arrows are often erratic, even when I try to 'realign' myself, and it frequently leads me on detours. It took me a while to find it, circling around. A tip for finding the hotel: first, look for Starbucks, then turn in from that intersection, find Yoshinoya, and once you see 7-Eleven, you should basically spot the hotel sign. The room has a standard Japanese layout; it's not large, and my 28-inch suitcase couldn't fully open, but it was perfectly fine for a one-night stay. The front desk staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. In the lobby on the first floor, there are complimentary skincare samples and other amenities. Breakfast was a bit basic, just a small counter, and you had to queue to get your food. One thing I definitely want to praise is the abundance of power outlets: several by the headboard, on the side panel, and underneath, which made charging devices incredibly convenient."

"The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, they provided an extra pillow when we requested. There is a microwave on level 2 which you can use to heat up your convenience store food items after.However, we had some issues with the room. 1. The aircon green light is very bright and shines down on your face through the night, would be good to cover it with something. 2. The window blinds are right behind your head and have big gaps allowing large amounts of light to come through in the morning. The toilet was also quite small with limited hanging space."

"This colonial-style hotel is imbued with a strong maritime theme from the lobby to the bar, restaurant, and executive lounge. Every detail, from the ceiling fans, shutters, telescopes, heavy wooden desks, and leather chairs in the rooms, to the tropical plants and wicker weaving in the restaurant, and the magenta swan display rack and fabric sofas in the lobby, exudes a refined charm with a sense of history. The hotel breakfast was also quite good, with a satisfying variety and excellent quality. This time, my room included a minibar and executive lounge access. The minibar was superb, with delicious complimentary chocolates and snacks for drinks, as well as local beer and fresh juices. However, please note that the executive lounge does not allow children, so unfortunately, I couldn't experience it fully this time, only went in for a quick look. My child did get a huge, delicious cookie. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Kobe!"
