Queen's Hotel Kandy - 160 Years of Heritage & Luxury
"Hotel location is good and near to temple, staff is not responsive rather they are conning, I reached late night so I requested that I will check out around 12:30 means half n hour than their policy but they refused that your room is allocated to another person who will check in around 2:00pm. I was wondering whether to go to travel lodge or pay them extra, at that time hotel occupancy was less than 10% but they were in their own way."
Selene City Hotel
"The hotel was unremarkable overall. The location listed on both Airbnb and Google Maps was inaccurate, which made finding the place confusing when we arrived in Kandy. We thought that hotel is in the city center but was 5km away. The hotel itself is fine, but the room felt like a cheaply renovated space right next to a noisy road. On the positive side, the price was reasonable and the room was clean. Ultimately, my experience was forgettable—this is the kind of place I won’t remember minutes after leaving."
The Grand Kandyan
"Mr Aburodha working in the restaurant is very good, very professional and notice he serving a table for 10 guests during dinner time is in a very sincere manner and professional. We really appreciated for his services."
Sevana City Hotel
"The hotel was clean and staff was helpful. There is a rooftop resturant and pool we enjoyed. There is a refillable water area. The location was close and walkable to surrounding sites and restaurants."
Amaya Hills Kandy
"Very difficult to reach as the road is very narrow and steep. Breakfast was good with quite a lot selection. But the coffee was not nice, tea was much better. It’s a quite old hotel, and the service was not that attentive."
Earl's Regency Hotel
"A wonderful stay with absolutely breathtaking views. Wherever you look, you’re surrounded by rolling mountains, and the grounds are beautiful with lots of native wildlife; you really feel at one with nature. The service was exceptional throughout. All staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely eager to help. A special mention to the reception team, especially Jenovia, who was incredibly friendly and helpful, showing us around and making us feel very welcome from the start. The hotel is also very family-friendly, with a small play park and thoughtful touches like towel animals from housekeeping (Ravi) that made our little girl’s day. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, including both Western and Sri Lankan options. A few very small improvements (such as having bacon readily available, colder milk at breakfast, and ice with poolside drinks) would make the experience truly five-star, but these are minor details. Rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities provided, and overall the level of service really stood out. If you’re looking for stunning views, a peaceful setting, and excellent hospitality, this is a fantastic choice and one I’d happily recommend."
Cassendra Hotel Kandy
"We want to say a huge thank you for the wonderful four-night stay. Chameera and Dilrukshi at reception, along with Isuru from housekeeping, were outstanding. The rooms were spotless, the food was fantastic, and when my girlfriend fell sick, you all went above and beyond to help. We are so grateful for your care and attention. Thank you so much!"
Atelier Kandy - Boutique Art Hotel & Gallery
"We come here regularly for the monthly karaoke nights, which are always a ton of fun - or to spend some time in the tranquil courtyard. An absolutely lovely place. Highly recommended if you're looking for a respite away from the busy-ness of Kandy without traveling far into the hills!"
Marvel Hills Kandy
"We stayed at Marvel Hills in January 2026. It's a beautiful place, and the villa itself is very well-maintained and green. It's just 100 meters from the road, which is great: quiet and cozy. And at the same time, it's close to amenities. The rooms are very clean and cozy. We recommend it. We arrived early at 5 a.m. and forgot to let them know we were arriving early. We called on WhatsApp, and the owner answered. He checked us in without any problems, no extra charge. He was very nice and attentive. We loved everything!"
