"This hotel is incredibly convenient, located right above the JR station and connected to a shopping mall with stores like Uniqlo and Muji. There's a grocery store on the basement level with super affordable sashimi and sushi. You can easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park by the sea, making for a pleasant evening stroll. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious. Each floor has an ice machine and vending machines. For a hotel in Japan at this price point, the rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's super easy to get to places like Kamakura, Odawara, or even Tokyo from here, and all the main attractions in Yokohama itself are within walking distance. Compared to the InterContinental I stayed at last time I was in Yokohama, this place offers so much more value for money; the InterContinental was triple the price for one night! It's also more cost-effective than staying in Tokyo, where hotels generally offer even less value. Highly recommend!"

"I booked a single room. Although the room wasn't large, it had everything I needed and was perfectly adequate for one person, especially considering the affordable price. The view from the window was beautiful, especially at night. The biggest surprise was breakfast. They offered tuna and squid sushi, plus unlimited sashimi – that alone makes it better than many five-star hotels. The breakfast selection was also very diverse, with not only Japanese options but also bread and mousse cakes. Enjoying breakfast by the window while taking in the morning view of Yokohama was a real treat."

ART HOTEL Nippori Lungwood is conveniently located a 1-minute walk from JR Nippori Station and just 36 minutes from Narita Airport via the Keisei Skyliner. It offers easy access to Ueno and Asakusa, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Tokyo. With a variety of rooms from single to family types, guests can enjoy a spacious and comfortable stay for both leisure and business.

"Honestly, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. With three beds, each of our family of three had our own space, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of walking around. The room itself was quite spacious, which made the bathroom feel a little cramped by comparison. The view from the window was really open and the night view was great too. Breakfast was just okay, but everyone's attitude was excellent! Plus, it's only a three-minute walk from Nippori Station, with tons of restaurants and convenience stores. If you're looking for nightlife, there are plenty of options too, haha~ (The soundproofing isn't the best, so hopefully, you won't encounter any noisy groups partying late into the night.)"

Treat yourself by paying a visit to the property's 1 free hot springss. Grab a bite to eat at the in-house restaurant which serves British dishes. At this hotel, you'll also find facilities including a vending machines. The property's front desk offers service in 2 languages, including English. "There are two stations, Keisei Ueno and Keisei Ueno Minami, and I got them confused, but they were within walking distance and I was able to check in without any problems. It's a small hotel, so I often ended up sharing the elevator with men when coming back from the public bath. Breakfast was included, but the Japanese restaurant also serves Western food. I couldn't eat fried food in the morning, so I left more than half of it. I'm sorry."

"First, the cons: The duvet had a sheet separating it, which I didn't like and found uncomfortable to sleep with. The room was a bit small; I could open my suitcase but it was a bit tight. The bathroom was also tiny. Overall, it was clean but you could tell the fixtures were old. On the upside, the front desk offers free luggage storage, and check-in/check-out is self-service via machine, which is very convenient and has a Chinese language option. The location is truly excellent, near the center of Ikebukuro. I mainly went to visit Animate, K-Books, and Sunshine City, all of which are very close, about a 10-minute walk. Getting to Akihabara and Tokyo Tower the next day was a bit far, taking 40-50 minutes. Shibuya is about half an hour away, and Haneda Airport is an hour and a half by subway (navigation said 1 hour, but it takes longer in reality). There's a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs where you can print photo cards, and also the Cafe Cinnamon I wanted to visit! It's very convenient for anime fans if you don't mind the duvet/sheet situation."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended, I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo! I stayed at Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu for several nights during my trip to Tokyo, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. It was easily one of the most satisfying hotels of my entire Japan trip. First off, the location is fantastic. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the Ginza shopping district, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. It's also very close to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Tokyo Station, Asakusa, Shibuya, or Shinjuku – a real time and effort saver for getting around. The room design was a pleasant surprise. While Tokyo hotels are generally not known for their spaciousness, this hotel boasts remarkably high ceilings, creating a very comfortable sense of space that completely avoids any feeling of being cramped. The decor is minimalist and modern, with excellent natural light, making for a very relaxing stay. The cleanliness deserves special mention. I stayed for several consecutive nights, and my room was spotless every day. Towels, toiletries, and other replenishable items were promptly replaced. The attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring stay. Breakfast truly exceeded expectations. Each morning offered a delightful array of small, exquisitely prepared dishes, including fresh fruit, eggs, miso soup, noodles, bread, salad, as well as fish and meat dishes. The variety was extensive, the presentation beautiful, and the taste exceptional. You could tell a lot of care went into preparing everything; breakfast was a genuine treat every day. Service also merits praise. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive. Check-in and daily interactions were smooth, reflecting the consistently professional and meticulous service you expect from Japanese hotels. Overall, this is a high-quality hotel with an excellent location, convenient transportation, comfortable rooms, outstanding cleanliness, exquisite breakfast, and thoughtful service. I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again on my next visit to Tokyo, and I'll certainly recommend it to my friends and family. A strong recommendation for anyone planning a trip to Tokyo! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

Amazing stay! Super near to the train station, and extremely clean. They have a washing machine, microwave, induction cooker, and pots and cutlery provided in the room. The mini fridge is the height of my waist! I also love the vacuum sealing machine in the lobby. Service was amazing: they did an extensive check for me when I asked if I could watch TVer on their tv. I had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

HOSHINOYA Tokyo

[HOSHINOYA Tokyo: A Vertical Ryokan Experience] HOSHINOYA Tokyo offers a truly unique concept. It is a traditional Japanese ryokan built vertically within a modern skyscraper, located in the prestigious Otemachi district. It provides a serene, luxurious escape right in the middle of the bustling city, perfectly blending classic ryokan hospitality with world-class modern design. We enjoyed a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the property from 29 May to 31 May. We chose not to make any meal reservations, which gave us the flexibility to simply relax and explore the surrounding city. [Getting There] We travelled from Fufu Hakone via a day trip to Enoshima and Kamakura. We took a direct train from Kamakura to Tokyo Station, followed by a short walk to the hotel, and arrived at around 8:00 PM. To make the transit completely effortless, our luggage was picked up and delivered directly to the hotel by LuggAgent on the same day. [Arrival and Check-In] The hotel is situated in the central business district and distinctly stands out from the surrounding buildings. The discreet entrance completely shields you from the busy streets. Upon entering, staff immediately store your shoes, as the entire tatami-matted building operates on a barefoot or socks-only policy. We were incredibly lucky to catch a traditional jap instrument performance, which is usually reserved for weekends. A designated staff member managed our check-in with welcome snack & tea and escorted us to level 15. A major highlight is the exclusive lounge on each floor, shared by only 6 suites. It functions as a private living room, fully stocked with complimentary seasonal teas, coffees, and traditional snacks. [The Suite] We stayed in the Sakura suite. Rather than trying to describe the beautiful layout in words, I will let my photos speak for themselves. The beds are low to the floor with a mid-level hardness that we found quite comfortable, and each bed comes with two soft pillows. There is also a television cleverly hidden behind a mirror, though it is worth noting that it only broadcasts Japanese channels. We kept it switched off to maintain the consistent traditional ryokan feel. The provided yukata is absolutely superb. It comes as a full set complete with an inner layer, an outer layer, socks, and a small handbag. The material is soft, stretchy, and incredibly comfortable for lounging and walking around the property. [The Top-Floor Onsen] Having a natural hot spring in central Tokyo is a rare luxury. The onsen is located on the 17th floor and features a stunning design where the roof is open to the sky. As cameras are strictly prohibited, you will have to visualise it or check the hotel website for gallery photos. I understand that the bath is a salty hot spring containing a high concentration of seawater and seaweed minerals trapped deep in the ground. Soaking in this soothing water gently embraces the skin and helps alleviate fatigue in both body and mind. The onsen is open daily from 3:00 PM to 11:30 AM. It was the absolute perfect way to warm up and recharge before we headed out for a busy day. [Areas for Improvement] Toothbrush Set: The provided toothbrush is far too small and takes ages to use. I strongly recommend bringing your own.

Though small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

16 sqm room with a king-size bed, and a really spacious bathroom! We stayed during the off-season, so the value for money was incredible! Ginza-Itchome subway station is just a left turn outside the hotel, and there's a 7-Eleven and a drugstore right downstairs, which is super convenient. The front desk also provides a variety of high-quality complimentary skincare products, which was a lovely touch! I absolutely loved the retro style!!!!

I always have a soft spot for hotels with hot springs, especially when they have an outdoor section. It's perfect for when you want a quick dip without feeling cooped up if you stay longer. The room size was pretty standard, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a separate hallway leading into the room, which is a nice touch compared to other business hotels. To be honest, the location is just okay. It's a bit of a walk from the station (about 7-8 minutes, mainly because you have to cross the street right outside the subway entrance), so it's not exactly right by the station. It is, however, right in front of an elevated road, but the windows do a decent job with soundproofing. The biggest drawback with this type of hotel is that there's only one elevator, which means you can end up waiting for quite a while.

employees and amazing breakfast. They had many vegetables + yogurt + all kind of meats (I really liked the beef) - really worth it for 2100 yen per person. My only complaint is that breakfast ends quite early at 9:30. It is very close to 2 metro lines (green and orange) so you can easily reach any place in Tokyo. There is a non-stop 7/11 at the -1 floor (you can take the elevator and exit through the shop). It has a very easy to use and good exchange rate ATM. The gym is like the typical hotel gym. Very small and with few dumbbells.
