APA Hotel Ueno Ekiminami is are in a good location that is a 4 minute walk from the Ueno station.
"The amenities are comprehensive. It may seem like a throwback to the past, but it's actually a relief to have them. They were extremely helpful this time."
Ueno Station Hostel Oriental 1(Men Only) is a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station and a 3-minute walk from JR Okachimachi Station. It offers compact and luxurious private rooms for you to enjoy your own time.
All rooms are equipped with a TV and free Wifi. You can spend your time in your own space. The facility includes a 42℃ high-temperature large bath, a bath that generates ultrasonic waves through bubbles, a vibra bath, medicinal baths, and a radium spring that promotes metabolism by enveloping the body in bubbles. A large bath is the best way to relieve fatigue. Pouring water over heated stones produces steam that envelops the body. The balance of temperature and humidity creates a good "löyly" (steam bath). "Iki" in Finnish means "permanent, eternal." By skillfully manipulating fire and water and stacking a large number of stones, the sauna's origin "smoke sauna" was modeled to create the steam bath.
"The location of the hotel is great very close to the Metro station, JR and plenty of shops and restaurant around. This hotel offers an onsen facility as well.

"I give them a full score. Here’s why : With the price you pay, you get your own room, with a decent space, (a little too narrow? I don’t think so. ), proximity to Minami-Senju Station, steps away from convenience stores, quiet and peace at night, etc. What else would you need?!?! However, I would love them to have a modern Japanese toilet (with bidet), tissue in the room & a mirror."

GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast service was excellent. The hotel is located on the 7th floor of the building; simply take the elevator up. While there's a curfew, it didn't affect our family trip at all. On the contrary, we appreciated how quiet it made the place.

KKJGood for solo traveller and accessible to 7-11 & restaurants. Room cleaning every day from 11 to 3pm, overall the restroom & capsule was clean.
Tips for improvement on the USB charger in the capsule, will suggest to install a wall outlet instead for fast charging for laptop or hp.

CCarlvinI had a great 5-night stay at the hostel where it is bound to be lively at the ground floor. If you’re that kind of person that likes small talks, this would be a perfect place for you to stay!
The room is overall perfect; I have ample space to pack my luggage. You may opt to choose whether you want a high floor and whether you want to be away from the lift, which I thought was a nice gesture. Cleanliness is decent, especially the toilets.
The staff is so friendly as well! They accommodated to my requests and questions, and frankly the experience of interacting with them is much different than the typical business hotel staff.
Although, there are a few pointers to take note (not negative but perhaps if you’re nit-picky about them):
• Walls are definitely not soundproof. You can hear people walking along the corridor (with some chatter), and they can hear your TV volume.
• You only have two hooks to hang your clothes. Considering that I had a towel rental, it would be nice to have a separate hanger for the towel.
• They won’t do housekeeping daily unless you request for one. I was fine without one since I don’t stay for long.
• Nearest station is roughly an 8-minute walk which isn’t too bad; however if you have huge luggages, you would need to overcome the bridge across the rail tracks. Don’t worry, there are elevators available.
• Not much food options around, but there are near by convenient stores. Might be worth exploring the area if you want to grab a meal, especially the nearby station.
I would definitely recommend this place if you are on a tight budget but also wanted your own private room (instead of a capsule bed). Hope to come back another time!
GGuest UserCheck in process was smooth, allowed early check in for a fee (if there is availability). Bed was clean. Female only levels were 6F and 7F. Was staying on 6F. Toilets on same floor 6F, but have to go to 7F for shower. Initially felt it was troublesome to wait for lift to go up to 7F to shower (only one lift for all floors), but got used to it. Hairdryers available on 6F. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers. Have 4 shower cubicles on 7F, but somehow throughout my stay, I didn’t have to wait whenever wanted to shower, there was always one cubicle available. Showers were generally kept clean as well by the guests.
Overall pleasant experience staying, the few troublesome matters were having to take out shoes at entrance (change to indoor slippers), only one lift and the locker space is decent but can’t fit cabin luggage (have to remove my items in my cabin luggage to fit into locker, and luggage crowded the area)
GGuest UserI booked a six-person room exclusively for women, located in B1. The space is OK. You can put your suitcase under the bed. If it's cold, there is a blanket. The indoor temperature is comfortable. There is a special person to clean it. It is clean and tidy. There is a public washroom for men and women and two separate shower areas, which is very convenient. The men's and women's toilets are separate. The disadvantage of the six-person room is that there are many people. Everyone goes to bed and wakes up at different times, which may affect rest. There is also a place for washing and drying. Towels, slippers and bath towels need to be purchased separately. There is a cafe on the first floor, which is open 24 hours a day. I like it very much.
Convenient transportation, about 600 to 700 meters away from the subway station. There are also many convenience stores near the hotel.
Free breakfast such as bread and tea is provided in the morning.
The boss and service staff are very good.
Thank you very much for providing such a good hotel, thank you. 😊
BBabyKat CIOIt's my first time to stay in this hotel, it's very good hotel and super great location because it's very near to 2 metro stations (Bakuroyokoyama station & Higashi Nihombashi), so it's very convenient to go anywhere. At the Metro station also have elevator and can easily walk from the station Exit to hotel). The hotel also have elevator for going up to 5th floor), then can meet friendly staff to welcome. In the hotel, also have free coffee and water provided. For the other drinks like beer and soft drinks, we can buy there. I really enjoy to stay in this hotel, so I continue to stay here another 2 days before moving to other cities.

LLaomaedaoThe hotel is located about 500 meters from Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and 1 km from Shinjuku Station. The room is OK, with one large bed and one small bed, which is OK for two people. The service staff is very good, very professional, polite, warm and thoughtful. It is similar to domestic economy hotels, but the price is three or four times higher. Hotels in Japan 🇯🇵, especially Tokyo, are very expensive…

GGuest UserIt is shabby, and it is exaggeratedly shabby. The shower liquid is not POLA, and there is no disinfectant spray in the room. The strange thing about this hotel is that the door will be locked after 1:00, so I am a little uncomfortable. The only thing that is good is that there is a seat The gentleman at the front desk can speak Cantonese. When I was staying on the 5th floor, there happened to be people of South Asian descent, so I stayed until there was a stronger smell of curry...

DDariaLocation and the host were totally good. Of course, capsule hotel has some inconveniences (you don't have enough space to store your stuff and you can only give it to the host on the 1st floor and they put it into a baggage room, also there is no ventilation in the capsules and in some of them there was too hot so the hot allowed my friend to change capsule). But the worst experience here was because of our capsule neighbour on the 3rd floor (so I can't blame the hotel) - she was obviously out of her mind, went to the toilet every 5 minutes and spent huge amount of toilet paper, so in a couple of hours she used up all the toilet paper on our floor. The host came and replaced the new paper - but in 2 hours it was the same way...
HHappyLoveThe condition is better than I expected, it's easy to get to Asakusa, and you can walk to the subway in less than 5 minutes.
There are many restaurants nearby and convenience stores such as Lawson, Family Mart, and 7-Eleven are located within 5 minutes.
First of all, the private bathroom is not in the room. It's outside.
We used the second floor and were in rooms 201 and 202.
If there are two rooms, there are two toilets and two bathrooms outside, which are used exclusively for the room.
I don't have any pictures, so I'll just post a picture of the bathroom.
It was nice that each item was separate.
There aren't any downsides, but the owner was a bit harsh but not unfriendly.
Still, I had a good stay. For 3 nights and 4 days
And one thing is that the door is locked after 12 o'clock!!!
Please note this!
Have a nice trip to Japan everyone😆
