Shinjuku Washington Hotel

The only good thing is the location; everything else has no advantages. The hotel is indeed very large, but there are far too many guests—it's crowded everywhere. It took an hour to queue up for check-in. Actually, the check-in is done via machines, but two of them were turned off, which caused long queues and congestion.

About a 12-minute walk from Shinjuku subway station, and the room is relatively quiet. There are two restaurants offering a good variety for breakfast, which is fine for a couple of meals, though a bit pricey. Also, there is a significant price difference depending on whether you book well in advance or at the last minute.

About a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, it's convenient for shopping and dining in the Shinjuku area. There's a Family Mart downstairs, which, though small, is handy. Like most Japanese hotels, the rooms are compact. Housekeeping, if you don't have special requests, involves daily towel changes and trash removal. On the third floor, next to the front desk, you can help yourself to complimentary skincare products, face masks, toothbrushes, razors, tea, coffee, and more.

The Shinjuku Washington Hotel is incredibly convenient for getting around. The airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel, and you can easily reach Shinjuku Station via an underground passage. The rooms are clean and practical, the service is professional, and the facilities are comprehensive. It's only a 5-minute walk to Shinjuku Station, and there are tons of great restaurants on the small streets nearby.
