"We were absolutely thrilled with this hotel! This was our first trip to Thailand, and we have no regrets whatsoever about choosing this place. We even got a free room upgrade. Check-in took literally 5 minutes, and they helped us with our luggage. The front desk staff were always incredibly sweet and polite, explaining everything thoroughly. If we ever needed a towel, slippers, or even just to heat up some food, they were always happy to help. Our room was cleaned daily and was spotless. We had a comfortable king-size bed, crisp white linens, and pillows that were perfect for me. The view from the rooftop pool deserves a poem of its own – the sunsets were simply incredible! The hotel is surrounded by numerous shops and massage parlors, everything you need is right at your fingertips. There's also a night market just a 7-minute walk away. We will definitely be returning here for our next trip!"

"The shower water was inconsistent, alternating between hot and cold, and the temperature couldn't be adjusted. It was also extremely hot, making it easy to get scalded. "Chanakarn Resort Rawai s worth for it's money and the quality of the stay is equivalent to a 5 star hotel. There is a public swimming pool right outside of the room and the service is amazing. Will definitely recommend international travellers to this resort."

"This hotel is an absolute gem! It's just a few minutes' drive from the airport. We only stayed for one night as a layover, but we were really impressed. The beach is right across the road; while the sand quality isn't as good as Karon or Kata, it's perfectly fine for kids to play and dig. The hotel has a tranquil atmosphere with many towering banyan trees, giving it a real vacation vibe as you walk around. There's also a children's pool that's big enough for kids to enjoy. Right next to the hotel, you'll find a 7-Eleven, massage shops, a supermarket, and a pharmacy, and there are plenty of convenient dining options. If you're coming for a proper vacation, I wouldn't recommend the room type I stayed in, as it's by a small road and can be a bit noisy with passing motorbikes. Instead, booking a room in the middle of the hotel would be excellent and really enhance the holiday feel. The downsides are still the poor water quality, so a filtered shower head is needed, the pool is a bit small, and there are quite a few mosquitoes, so definitely bring plenty of insect repellent. Recommended!"

"I was extremely satisfied with this trip. I chose the Orchid Hotel because of its location and the big waterslide, though my expectations weren't very high initially. I'd seen some reviews mentioning the hotel being damp and moldy, but I figured that for the 300-400 baht price point, it would be acceptable. I requested a high-floor, sunny room on Trip.com. I booked two rooms, and since our flight arrived late, we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. The two rooms were in different buildings, quite far apart. At first, I wasn't happy and considered asking to switch to closer rooms the next day. However, the hotel upgraded one of my standard rooms to a pool-view room, directly facing the big waterslide. My child loved it and didn't want to move, so we just made do. I stayed on the third floor of building 1. While the room wasn't brand new, it wasn't as old or damp as some reviews suggested. When I entered, the air conditioning was on. I'm not sure if it was because I'd noted my concern about dampness causing my child to get a rash, but the hotel clearly made an effort regarding customer satisfaction. As for people saying the breakfast wasn't good or that there weren't many Chinese people, I think that's subjective. My whole family found the food quite acceptable; it was typical buffet fare. The small restaurant next door was convenient for lunch and dinner. The location was great, only a few hundred meters' walk from Karon Beach. The kids had an absolute blast on the pool slide, and my two-year-old even learned to swim in the shallow pool! A truly commendable point is that it was my eldest son's birthday on the 22nd. Without any prior notification from me, the hotel decorated our room for his birthday. We were out at sea all day, and when we returned to the room that evening, we found it meticulously cleaned. The hotel had fashioned adorable little elephants from towels, adorned with fresh flowers, and left a birthday card. Both the kids and adults were amazed! My son was overjoyed. It was his first tenth birthday, and his first time receiving birthday wishes from a hotel. I have to say, for a seaside hotel in Phuket, an old establishment like the Orchid, at such a great value, making this kind of effort – I am extremely satisfied. If I ever go to Phuket again, I will definitely stay here. This is not a paid review; it's a completely genuine and objective assessment, for your reference."

"To be honest i dont know why people gave bad review. For the price, you get good location, quite place, staff was friendly, they did what was requested, room was clean and spacious, swimming pool was clean. I mean i think this place is underrated. To future guests. I can say ignore the bad reviews and personally i would recommend you here. Pro tip, if you want to buy beer. Buy from the resort instead. It was so much cheaper than the beers you buy on the streets. Beer on the streets bottled chang, 80-100 baht Hotel 60-65 baht."

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 days between location changes. What a wonderful hotel! The staff at the reception were very pleasant, as were the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day, and both shower and beach towels were changed daily. They provided 2 bottles of water every day, even if the previous ones hadn't been consumed. The room has everything you need: air conditioning, a TV, a tea set, a kettle, a refrigerator, umbrellas, a safe, an electronic clock, and an insect repellent. The bathroom is fully stocked with toiletries: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, dental kits, cotton pads/swabs, and shower caps. The pool isn't deep, but it's very clean (it's cleaned every morning). Around the pool, there are sun loungers, umbrellas, and plenty of trees, so you can find shade and cool off even on the hottest days. There aren't many people by the pool, so you're sure to get some relaxation! The location is quite convenient. Just around the corner from the hotel, you'll find a 7/11, a currency exchange, and massage services. The beach is about a 10-minute walk, but be prepared for many boats in the water, ready to take you to nearby islands. However, the Thais aren't pushy, and the boats don't cause any discomfort. If you prefer, you can take a taxi to a more secluded beach where there are no boats, but you can rent kayaks and go snorkeling. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone; we will definitely be back!"

"Stayed at Best Western Patong Beach during my Phuket trip. Everything was generally quite standard, nothing overly luxurious but comfortable enough for a short stay. The room size was good and didn’t feel cramped. One of the better points is definitely the location — only around 5 minutes walk to Jungceylon Shopping Mall, so food, shopping and convenience were all nearby. Service and facilities were decent overall, but there were a couple of issues during the stay. I noticed ants crawling around the tables in the room, which housekeeping should improve on. Soundproofing was also not great, and noise from outside or neighboring rooms could sometimes be heard quite clearly. Overall, still a convenient and reasonable stay if location matters more than luxury and you mainly need a well-located base in Patong."

"The hotel service was great, and the front desk owner was very enthusiastic. However, the hot water in the room needs improvement. For the first two days of our three-day stay, the shower water was only lukewarm. It only returned to normal on the third day. The location is excellent, with two 7-Elevens right outside and Jungceylon shopping mall next door, making dining and shopping very convenient. Bang La seafood market is directly opposite, which is great for seafood lovers. There's a boxing gym next door, which can be noisy from 8 PM to 11 PM, but since we were on vacation and didn't go to bed early, it didn't bother us. The beach is about a ten-minute walk away. On our last day, they even let us use the swimming pool for a few hours after checking out. Overall, I think it was a very good stay."
