Jul 22, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Denver
Join us for a cozy, heart-opening evening with a
Sacred Cacao Ceremony and Sound Bath!
We’ll sip ceremonial cacao to ground, uplift, and open our hearts, then relax into the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls for deep healing and balance.
Cacao
is known as a “heart medicine” for its ability to foster connection, creativity, and emotional openness. It helps reduce stress, increase focus, and support a deeper relationship with yourself and others. Rich in antioxidants and mood-boosting compounds like magnesium and anandamide, cacao enhances clarity, joy, and a sense of well-being.
Sound healing
works on a vibrational level to calm the nervous system, release energetic blockages, and restore balance to the body and mind. The frequencies of the crystal bowls align with different chakras, helping to clear stuck emotions and promote deep relaxation. Many people experience profound shifts, insight, and even a meditative dream-like state.
Together, cacao and sound create a powerful space for reflection, intention, and transformation. Whether you’re looking for emotional release, a sense of grounding, or just a peaceful evening, this experience is designed to nourish your mind, body, and spirit.
Come as you are, this is a safe space.

Summer Series: Breathwork & Sound Journey (Theme: Compassion) | Kalo Fitness
Jul 23, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Denver
At KALO (Greek for "beauty that is more than skin deep"), we believe that wellness starts from within. In addition to our women's strength training services, we also offer sauna/cold plunge therapy and breathwork to cultivate a foundation of nervous system regulation, deep connection to purpose/legacy, and authentic connection to others.
For this special summer breathwork series we will diving into 3 different themes that will guide the breathwork. In last months session we discussed JOY. In this one we'll bring in COMPASSION. Why it's important, how to give it to ourselves and in turn others, and why it's foundational to seeing lasting change.
In this session we will cover 3 different types of breathing: 360 breath (the foundational element of all breathwork, and key for health benefits), breath for vagus nerve activation (calms the nervous system), and circular or concious connected breath (too many emotional + physical benefits to list, but we will cover many in class). From there, you will be led through a breathwork journey with music that will incorporate all of these techniques into one beautiful flow. We will end with meditation. No previous breathwork experience is required to attend this session. All levels will benefit, and be encouraged to move at paces that are comfortable.
This class will be led by Jourdan Baldwin, KALO Co-Owner, B.S Health & Exericise Science, and breathwork guide with extensive training and mentorship in XPT breathwork, pranayama, Conscious Connected Breathwork, and nervous system regulation via the Polyvagal Theory. Jourdan is also certified in the principles of somatic processing, breath mechanics, and stress physiology in her coaching and facilitation, creating an experience that is both deeply embodied and transformative.
Who's this for: This session is for anyone who wants to reconnect with their body, calm their mind, and remember what it feels like to experience real, grounded, peace and compassion. Whether you’re navigating stress, craving more depth and presence, or simply looking to explore breathwork in a welcoming space, this experience is for you. No previous experience is needed, just an open heart and a willingness to breathe. Perfect for anyone seeking personal growth, nervous system regulation, or a moment of embodied peace in the midst of a busy summer.
Please bring: blanket, pillow, water bottle and anything else you need to create a comfortable space.
Contraindications:
Concious Connected breathwork is a powerful practice that can bring about many positive physical, emotional, and psychological shifts. However, it may not be suitable for everyone. Below is a list of potential contraindications where caution or consultation with a healthcare provider is advised before participating in breathwork:
Cardiovascular Conditions
: Severe hypertension or hypotension, recent heart attack or stroke, arrhythmias or other severe heart condition
Respiratory Issues
: Severe asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), severe respiratory disorders
Neurological Conditions
: Epilepsy or a history of seizures, severe migraines or chronic headaches, recent brain injury or surgery
Psychiatric Conditions
: Severe anxiety or panic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (unless under professional supervision)
Pregnancy
: Somatic breathwork can involve intense breathing patterns that may not be safe during pregnancy, especially if there is a history of complications.
Eye Conditions
: Glaucoma or retinal detachment (due to increased intraocular pressure during intense breathing)
Recent Surgeries or Medical Procedures
: Particularly abdominal or thoracic surgeries, any surgery with restrictions on exertion or deep breathing
Feel free to reach out to us at jourdan@kalofitness.com if you have any personal or specific questions regarding these contraindications. As a rule of thumb, always consult with a healthcare provider before beginning somatic breathwork if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns.

Ridding Yourself of Sexual Shame | 1800 S. Broadway
Jul 24, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Denver
Ridding Yourself of Sexual Shame
is a transformative, body-positive class designed to help you confront, unpack, and release the lingering effects of sexual shame. Whether your shame stems from societal conditioning, religious teachings, trauma, or cultural taboos, this class offers a supportive space to begin healing. Through guided journaling, group discussion, and gentle somatic exercises, we’ll explore how shame lives in the body and how it can be compassionately uprooted.
Participants will be encouraged to move at their own pace as we work through themes like pleasure, consent, self-expression, and internalized judgment. We’ll break down toxic myths around sexuality and replace them with affirming truths rooted in self-acceptance, empowerment, and choice. The class invites you to show up as you are—messy, curious, tender, bold—and to begin rewriting your sexual story with honesty and agency.
This experience is for anyone who wants to feel more at home in their body and more connected to their desires without fear or guilt. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to reflect, share (as much or as little as you like), and try something new. This is a shame-free zone where all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles are welcome. Come ready to ride out the old narratives and reclaim your sensual self.

Board Game Speed Dating - Woods Boss Brewing - Five Points - (Ages 25-39) | Woods Boss Brewing Company
Jul 24, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Denver
Searching for a partner can be horrifically painful. But board games are always awesome. So what if you combined board games and finding a partner?
Picture this: You sit down for a night of games. A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you've never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. All while in a great establishment with plenty of delicious options on tap. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you'd like to date and a list of those you met that you'd like to just hang out with as friends. If any two people put down the same name as each other in either column, then your gaming concierge will make sure you get each other's e-mail address and you can coordinate a time to hang out.
Best case scenario: You find true love, discover some awesome board games, and make some new friends.
Bad case scenario: You accomplish only one of those three things, which is still pretty great.
Worst case scenario: There will be alcohol.
Before you decide to buy tickets, a few basics we should cover:
1) This event is for men & women, ages 25-39. We also have events for gay men and queer women. And we're hoping to add events to serve even more people in the future! Head over to
https://www.quirkevents.com/colorado
to see what else we have to offer. (If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, you'll be able to join our mailing list and get notified about future events.
Plus, joining our mailing list gets you 50% off your first ticket purchase!)
2) To stay up-to-date on everything we have going on at Quirk Events, follow us on Instagram
here!
3) Refunds are only available to those who cancel with more than 48 hours' notice, in order to make sure we have enough time to find a replacement for you and keep the event well-populated. (Exceptions will be made for emergency situations on a case-by-case basis). After that, we're blowing the money from your ticket sale on something awesome and nonrefundable.
4) If we get to 24 hours before the event and still haven't sold five tickets for each gender, we will cancel the event (and notify you). When we have run this event in the past, tickets have consistently sold very well, so we don't expect this to happen. But we thought we should cover this in case it came up.
5) How many games we have and which ones we use will be based in part on how many people attend, so we can't tell you for sure what we'll have right now. But the goal is for all of them to be fun, light, easy-to-learn games. Selection will include games from both the something-you-have-played-before category and the something-you-haven't-played-before category. The games are also chosen because they often tend to spark conversation and leave room for chatting with new people as you play. All games will be group games, meaning you'll get a chance to meet a handful of people with each new round.
