Join us for breakfast with the birds!
For a limited time during the spring breeding season, you can join Meewasin and start your day with the birds at Beaver Creek Conservation Area.
The morning begins with a gentle walk along the trail, where a Meewasin guide will cover the basics of identifying and tracking a few of the resident birds, as well as a few of the migratory birds passing through. Once you arrive back at the interpretive center, you’ll be treated to some local coffee from Road Coffee and a continental breakfast box specially curated for Birding Breakfast by Style & Graze.
All proceeds from this experience support Meewasin’s conservation and education programs, making this a truly sustainable experience in one of the Meewasin Valley’s birding hotspots.

Guided Birdwatching Adventure:
Join Meewasin guide Jamie McMillan and team for an educational morning at Beaver Creek Conservation Area.

Gain early morning access to start your guided trail walk and learn some birding basics. This experience is suitable for beginners.

Limited availability: Only 16 spots available per breakfast.
Please bring a full water bottle to carry with you on the hike (there is no potable water at Beaver Creek).
Have a snack before you arrive - your breakfast box and coffee will be served at the end of the program.
Please dress for the weather and come prepared to hike. Things like a hat, sunscreen, bug spray and proper outerwear will make your experience more enjoyable - and good footwear is a must!
Beaver Creek Conservation Area is natural habitat for ticks. Ticks will be present on site. Please do a thorough tick check at the end of your visit.

Saturday June 28th @ 3PM. Registration opens at 2:30PM. This event take place in our own private event room of Amigos Cantina, where we'll begin with a fun ice breaker game. There will be various board games out on the tables, as well as conversation starter cards. You can decide if you'd like to play games or just chat and mingle! At this event there's no pressure from timed dates and no need to meet with everyone in the room. Chat with who you vibe with, and use the conversation starter cards if your convo hits a lull.
Attendees will receive a match card with two columns: match or friend. For those you want to keep connecting with, add their name onto one of the columns! If your name also appears on their match card, you'll be sent their contact info after the event.
This is a 19+ event open to all identities from the poly community with opportunities for romantic and platonic connections. Flag stickers will be available at the door if you'd like to add any pride flags to your name tag to let others know who you are interested in.
All ages over 19, all genders, all orientations and all forms of ENM welcome. Come solo, with a partner, or with multiple partners.

Our event is set up as follows ADULTS - This challenge is 5km with up to 30 obstacles. This is a TETHERED challenge, meaning we will harness you and your team. No maximum, bring everyone. This way you can work on each other's individual strengths to get you through. Coming alone? no problem, we will tether you to someone else who comes alone. A great way to forge new friendships with those you already have something in common with. You are suckers for punishment. KIDS - Currently Canada's largest event of it's kind and soon to be Lethbridge's. This challenge is set up by age caterogies as follows 11-13yrs 3km with 24 obstacles 8-10yrs 2km with 22 obstacles 4-7yrs 1km with 20 obstacles (some 3yr olds may qualify conditional) Not tethered, kids can participate alone or as a group. One parent can shadow along but CANNOT help. Medals are only awarded at the finish line. Your little one must cross it to earn a medal. NO PARTICIPATION MEDALS. Zulu K9- This is a very rare challenge. 5km with 20 obstacles with your pooch as your sidekick. Where you go, they go. This is the adventure dog owners did not know they needed. Mandatory hands free leash and dog harness. All breeds welcome.
