This dance work is a letter—a letter to you, to myself, and to those I've hurt in the midst of my struggles. A show by Shannon McCann Starring Izzy Rothwell and Amelie Coleman FAQs What time should I get there? At least 30 minutes before the show. Our performances start bang on time and it takes a hot second to welcome you into the building. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? The Butterfly Club is a licensed venue. Accordingly, patrons under 18 are only allowed on premises in the company of a parent or legal guardian. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? We strongly encourage using public transport. The Butterfly Club is a short stroll from Flinders Street station and Melbourne Central, and an even shorter stroll from any tram that travels through Swanston or Collins Streets (get off at Town Hall). No. Our team have a record of all attendees updated in real time and will be able to let you in whether you bring a printed copy of your ticket or not. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes. It happens all the time. It's totally fine. Information Source: The Butterfly Club | eventbrite

When we started out all we wanted to do was go inside the agencies we admired the most but unless you were hired it was almost impossible to get access. We were fascinated by their work, culture and people but their methods were guarded and their approach was top secret. With that in mind we decided to disrupt this thinking and change the landscape of design education. We are now committed to shattering those barriers by sharing with you the processes used by freelancers, founders and teams. SPEAKERS Each of our events feature speakers including freelancers, founders and teams across diverse disciplines. We ask them to share their processes including the challenges they face, the methods they employ and the people they work with. Our first event in Melbourne will feature talks by Richie Meldrum, Sasha Heath and Peter Borg VENUE Testing Grounds provides creative spaces for exhibitions, events, workshops and screenings. Located in two big old buildings near the Queen Victoria Markets, they have a range of low cost indoor spaces available for short-term hire. Information about how to get to the venue can be found here: https://www.testing-grounds.com.au/ TICKETS Tickets can be purchased from this page. FRIDAY JUNE 6TH DAMAGED PRESENTS: AUTOBAHNS (GERMANY) GNOME. CAMMY CAUTIOUS & THE WRESTLERS (NSW) MORE BANDS TBA THIS IS A LICENSED/ALL AGES EVENT. PHOTO ID REQUIRED FOR 18+. Leipzig via Lugano’s weirdo punk heroes Autobahns will be returning to Australia this June! After their first tour in January 2024, they’re back this time hitting both coasts, alongside a smokin’ roster of local and interstate supports. Their “First LP” was a beloved release from renowned Victorian label Legless Records and now they hit us with a split with Melbourne kings Elvis 2. Hope you freakos are ready. “If you were waiting for the typical and overused egg-punk stuff, this is not your album, cause although Giulliano always seemed to us the top-boy of the class from the old continent, with this First LP he has surpassed any of our expectations with a sound where weirdness, the wild synth-punk-garage reminiscent of pioneer bands like Ausmuteants and even a touch of Skate-punk are threaded with unusual class over a layer of juicy and freaky LoFi that makes it simply irresistible... A killer one!” - Tremendo Garaje “You may not know Giuliano Iannarella, the Germany and Switzerland-based punk rocker, but the debut Autobahns album First LP! makes a strong case that he deserves a seat alongside fellow rippers-to-watch Gee Tee, Alien Nosejob, and Sick Thoughts. It’s not easy to designate exactly where this lives in the realms of egg, chain, and skate punk—it’s a journey across all those vibes. There’s a track here called “Ciapa Male,” and it’s just choppy and relentless rock’n’roll that could burn for a full hour without getting old. It’s the kind of debut with so much power, so many major songs, and so many different vibes packed into one album, it feels like a star turn for Iannarella. Synths attempt to simmer things down near the end, but it’s useless: First LP! burns hot.” - Evan Minsker, see-saw.fun SINGING BIRD IS AN INCLUSIVE SPACE. WE DON'T TOLERATE HATE SPEECH, BULLYING, FIGHTING OR ANY GENERAL DICKHEAD BEHAVIOUR. WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF CREATIVE PEOPLE. BE RESPECTFUL! Information Source: Stu Anderson 0408568438 | eventbrite
