Weaving in references to sacred stories and pastoral imagery, Natu captures self-image, adulthood, intimacy and relationships in a strangely sweetened light,. Her poetry juxtaposes the idyllic softness of the countryside with rough, raw life experiences. This is just the beginning of a metaphorical road trip along cultural/religious barriers, womanhood and healing, lingering on every page more luscious than the last. Beautifully illustrated by Ridi Hossain, who decorates each 'segment' of the book in delectable daydreams.
