Zombie Apocalypse Edmonton - Scavenger Hunt Survival Game | Downtown
Apr 16, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Edmonton
Can you survive the Zombie Apocalypse?
Edmonton Zombie Scavenger tests your ability to survive after a zombie apocalypse.
The game leads you through the city, where you will have 60 minutes to collect supplies to survive during this interactive scavenger game. With the whole world in chaos and zombies outnumbering the living 10 to 1, small colonies of the living are doing all they can to survive. Using your smartphone, your team will be tasked with scavenging the city for food, supplies, weapons, and shelter. The more things you find, the more points you get, the more likely you are to survive. Along the way, you will be asked to do a challenge or answer a trivia question in order to be rewarded with virtual weapons to ward off the zombies. The area is crawling with relentless zombies, and rival colonies are moving in. If you get too relaxed, rival colonies will take what you worked hard to find. The goal is to find all of the items in hopes that you will survive the zombie apocalypse.
Scavenger Rules:
In 1 hour your team of up to 10 people will use a smartphone to search the area for much-needed food, supplies, and shelter. The more things you find in the 1 hour, the more points you get and more likely you would be a survivor. The task will not be easy. Along the way, you will be asked to do some challenges or answer some trivia questions. The goal is to get at least 4000 points in 1 hour in order to survive the zombie apocalypse!
The ticket price covers the participation of 1 team (up to 10 people). Add as many teams as you need.
Start your game at any time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

In order to make an informed vote, you deserve to know where your candidate stands on the future of food in this country.
Candidates will be joining us to answer your questions on what they're doing to support food security and local food. After brief introductions, we will be asking the panel a series of food-focused questions, before turning the mic over to you. We invite you to bring your hardest-hitting food questions to ensure you're voting for a candidate that has your interests in mind. This one's not just for the foodies! It's for every citizen who's voting for a better food future.
This event is sponsored by a generous grant from Community Food Centres Canada, as part of their

Holy Days of Obligation
On Sundays and other holy days of obligation, the faithful are obliged to participate in the Holy Mass. - (Canon Law 1244-1253)
Holy days of obligation are feast days on which Catholics are required to attend Holy Mass and to avoid (to the extent that they are able) servile work. The faithful go to Mass on these days to rejoice. The Church invites the faithful to Mass on these holy days to recall that there is a reason to rejoice -
"
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
" (John 3: 16.)
From this perspective, holy days of obligation are a gift. The faithful take a step back from preoccupations to remember what is true, good, and beautiful.
Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy.
For six days you shall labour and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the
Lord
your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son, or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the
Lord
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore, the
Lord
blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.
Exodus 20: 8 - 11
Every Sunday
, the Lord's Day, is recognized as a holy day of obligation and Catholics are bound to participate in Holy Mass on Sunday or at an anticipated Mass on Saturday in the late afternoon or evening.
There are 10 Holy Days of Obligation in the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church:
Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother Of God - January 1
Epiphany - January 6
Solemnity of St. Joseph - March 19
Ascension of Our Lord
Corpus Christi, the Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ
Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul - June 29
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Into Heaven - August 15
All Saints Day - November 1
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary - December 8
Christmas, the Nativity of Our Lord - December 25
