Spring Wine Preview: A Rosé Tasting Extravaganza! | Formaggio Kitchen Cambridge
May 11, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Cambridge
Twice every year, in Spring and Fall, the Huron Avenue wine team commandeers our Huron Ave location to offer a special early evening preview of wines they love for the upcoming season.
Our spring event showcases rosé. With well over 30 types of rosé on our shelves, sometimes choosing can be a bit overwhelming. For this event, we taste at least 16 types so that you can better select your summer sippers. The centerpiece is a multi-station, guided tasting of wines our buyers consider outstanding examples of the category at various price points. During this industry-style tasting Formaggio Kitchen wine buyers will introduce you to their top picks of this warm-weather favorite -- from classic Provencal rosé to naturalist, new wave pink.
There will be an offering of fabulous small bites from the Formaggio Kitchen cheese counter as well as the opportunity to save big when you place an order for any of the wines poured at the preview. For the night of the event only, all showcased wines are 10% off. In addition to the discount, buy 12 or more bottles (mix and match however you like) and earn a refund of your $50 ticket as a credit against your purchase (one ticket credit per attendee). It's a fun night of tasting with some serious learning. Come prepared for a wine workout!
This class will take place at our Huron Ave location on Sunday, May 11th at 5:30.
To fully participate in the class:
1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as a cheese plate, wine, and accompaniments for one.
2. This is a standing event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to tour our cheese caves as well as shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).
3. This event is for 21+. Our staff will check IDs at the door.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please reach out to classes@formaggiocambridge.com before the day of your class if you or a member of your party has any food allergies or dietary restrictions or requires seating.

ABOUT
WHAT IF IT’S YOU
Everyone wonders about the one that got away . . . and thanks to an alternate reality tech project, one woman will get the chance to actually find out.
When Laurel Everett finds a ring in her longtime boyfriend Ollie's sock drawer, she should be thrilled . . . so why is she left wondering "what if?" Specifically, what if she'd taken up her work crush, Drew, on his offer of a date just after she and Ollie got together? Thanks to her job at tech giant Pixel, she might have a way to answer that question through the AltR project, which promises users a glimpse of alternate realities. Or it will, once the quantum computers it relies on get more powerful.
When the program actually works and Laurel wakes up five years into her life with Drew, she's fascinated . . . then increasingly horrified as she continues to slip between that world and her "real" life seemingly at random. As she moves back and forth between the two worlds, Laurel realizes choosing the right life might not be as simple as deciding between two men and the different visions of happiness they offer. And if she doesn't find a way to untangle herself from the quantum mess she's unleashed, she might wind up stuck in the wrong life, or worse, deleted entirely like a faulty line of code. . . .

ABOUT THE LODGE
USA TODAY
BESTSELLER: From the author of
The Reunion
, a cozy rom-com about a writer who decamps to a Vermont lodge for work but finds herself distracted by the charming ski instructor next door.
Alix Morgan just got her big break as the ghostwriter of a memoir by Sebastian Green, a former member of the boy band True North. And when he offers her a penthouse at a luxurious resort in Vermont, she jumps at the chance to work far away from her noisy, cramped apartment.
Her career as an entertainment journalist has been building toward this dream job—after all, she used to cover True North and was one of the last people to interview former front man Jett Beckett before he disappeared. As she combs through her client’s voice memos, the specter of the missing lead singer remains, and fans are desperate to know the full story.
But Alix also has time for some fun at this glamorous resort, where she begins ski lessons with a handsome instructor named Tyler. As Alix and Tyler fall in love on the slopes, Alix’s work takes a complicated turn—and the mystery of True North’s downfall may be hers to solve.

Each date will last around 4 minutes, the perfect amount of time to get to know someone and not that long to just have a chat, if not.
Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room.
The following day you can select your matches, 'yes' 'no' or 'friend' and by 5pm you'll find out who you've matched with and be off on a date in no time. It's really that simple.
We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks.
After the event
Once everyone has met everyone your host will round up the event but that doesn't mean the night is over, there will be plenty of time to chat some more after the event.

Don't take my word for it! What have others said about my Workshops?
"Mette’s energy, enthusiasm, and wealth of experience in running workshops is hugely valuable to anyone wanting to build their confidence in workshop design and facilitation. Her practical tips and variety of case studies ensured I went away with all the tools I needed to test, plan, and execute my own workshops. I can’t wait to get started." - Carmen Byers (Marketing Director, Penguin Random House)
"I have had the pleasure of being in several workshops facilitated by Mette, and the best thing is they never really feel like workshops. They feel well-paced, well-researched, well-guided, and, well… a whole heap of fun. Her experience plus extensive preparation means the atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. To crudely mash up an Einstein quote – ‘If you can’t workshop it simply, you don’t understand workshopping well enough’ – Mette fully understands workshopping.
I have recently attended Mette’s brilliant Workshop Wizardy – a workshop about workshopping. I have not only gained multiple tips, tricks and techniques that I have already put into practice, but her natural, confident ability to re-cut and reorder things as a reaction to the outcomes of the previous task or exercise has meant I have started to do the same, trying to aim for better outcomes without the fear of losing structure/control. WWMD – What Would Mette Do? – is now my mantra." - Emma Hopton (Senior Strategist, Taxi Studio)
