MOB-17: THE PINNACLE, represents our 17 years of handbell: development, innovations and creative work in Singapore and internationally, establishing a Distinctly MOB & unique Singaporean-style of making handbell music. Our work is greatly influenced by the communal factors of inclusiveness, community outreach, creating public awareness of our art-form, and the constant demands of artistic excellence. This concert challenges our team to ringing handbell music at levels 4+ and 5, out of 6 levels of difficulty.
MOB-17 will be led by our Principal Conductor/Founder, DAMIEN LIM, alongside our MOB Young Associate Conductor, TAN SHIN LU, & one of America's most prominent handbell figures & Music Director of the Raleigh Ringers, DAVID HARRIS. In addition to the 30+ Handbell ringers, the show includes 4 local performers, who are Vocalists, Yamaha Electonist, Percussionists and Drummers, and prominent inclusive-arts story-teller, Mr R. CHANDRAN, as well as 4 Foreign Ringers.
Targetted at returning audiences, general arts goers, handbell music followers and students, families of persons with special needs and disabilities, and especially new audiences, the MOB-17 is a high-level + high-energy musical evening, showcasing our musical artistry through handbells in fusion with multimedia and storytelling, featuring originals and arranged handbell music & works from the 1950s-1980s, Big Screens, Disney, Studio Ghibli, Musical Theatre & Contemporary Repertoires ... Etc.
The MOB shows comes with our signature pre-show hands-on & immersive experience led by our conductor and/or story-teller, where audiences will get to ring bells and chimes during Community Ringing Circles, play on percussions, as well as drawing, storytelling and pre-show performances, in addition to publicity boards displaying the: "working the arts with persons with autism and disabilities" for public awareness , as part of the MOB's mission work in inclusiveness and creating public awareness on inclusive-arts.

Learn the essential techniques for shooting a video in this beginner-level videography workshop. This program is exclusively available to National Library Board members in Singapore. Before registering, make sure you have your myLibrary username ready. If you don't have one, you can create it on the National Library Board website.
In this 2-part series, titled "Get Started In: Video Production," you will gain insight into the planning, shooting, and production processes involved in creating a simple video. The series includes workshops on Creating Footage and Editing Footage. While it is highly recommended to attend both workshops, you can still join even if you can only attend one session.
During these interactive workshops, beginners will learn about the workflow of video editing, selecting clips, transitions and editing cuts, video filters, choosing background music, and audio editing. The sessions are hands-on, allowing you to edit a video by the end of the workshop. To participate, please bring a laptop (preferred) or smartphone with CapCut software installed and ensure that your device is fully charged.
Benjamin, an experienced freelance photographer and videographer, will be the instructor for these workshops. He has a passion for both visual arts and mental health, and believes in the therapeutic benefits of photography. Benjamin has curated a photography exhibition for the Singapore International Photography Festival 2022, focusing on local photographers' perspectives on mental health.
These workshops are part of PRESSPLAY, the National Library Board's biennial arts festival. PRESSPLAY aims to make youth arts more accessible to the public and celebrate the impact of the arts on young people's lives. It offers various arts programs for young people throughout Singapore's public libraries. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your video production skills and be part of the vibrant arts scene.
