Deliberating Singapore Literature Organised by Arts House Limited, Textures 2024 is the annual literary festival celebrating Singapore literature (SingLit). From 19 - 28 January 2024, The Arts House will host this highly anticipated event in conjunction with the Light to Night Festival and Singapore Art Week. With the theme 'Reimagine,' Textures 2024 offers a diverse range of multidisciplinary SingLit-related programs and showcases. It aims to bring words to life against the backdrop of other artistic practices and disciplines, shining a spotlight on the literary works that are closest to home. Renowned local artists such as Hafidz Rahman, Marc Nair, Sudhee Liao, Mantravine, Audrey Ng, Low Zi Hao, and more will present captivating interdisciplinary performances. Additionally, homegrown visual artists including Justin Loke and Knuckles & Notch will enchant visitors with their art installations, emphasizing the constancy and richness of literature amidst the ever-changing digitized world. The festival promises fresh perspectives and exciting encounters with SingLit texts. Visitors can explore a diverse genre of books by both local and international writers at the pop-up bookstore by Chio Books.
