BMX coaching workshop session - City Of Fremantle - great for 12yrs+ | Esplanade Youth Plaza

Thanks to the City of Fremantle. Freestyle now will be facilitating a fun and informative coaching session at Fremantle Skatepark for BMX participants. Our facilitators analyze the participants' skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our coaches speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay the importance of safety, the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette. Participants are split up into groups based on their skill level and what they are interested in achieving. All participants would need their own equipment, helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our coaches may be able to assist with some minor adjustments (BMX Bar straightening, etc.) before the session starts if required and time permitting. Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Thanks to the City of Fremantle. Freestyle Now will be conducting FREE BMX coaching session at the Esplanade Youth plaza (Freo skatepark). Session 1 - 9am Session 2 - 10am The workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6. Freestyle Now squad members would be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette. Each coaching workshop session is 50 minutes long with a 10 minute parent information session conducted at between sessions to help educate parents on skatepark etiquette, understanding of BMX bikes, and safety issues. If you are in the second session be sure to arrive early to catch this important information. Our facilitators analyze the participants skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. All participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective bicycles may not be able to participate. Our facilitators may not be able to make repairs to participants bicycles during the coaching session. Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre's new multi-disciplinary exhibition Its Always Been Always is a tribute to Blak women, celebrating their powerful connections to Country, Community, and Culture. Curated by Whadjuk, Ballardong, and Wilman Noongar artist and curator Zali Morgan, It's Always Been Always brings together works by six acclaimed Aboriginal female artists from across Australia. Featuring newly commissioned and existing works by Wendy Hubert (Yindjibarndi – Juluwarlu Art Group), Harriette Bryant (Pitjantjatjara – Mimili Maku Arts), Kaylene Whiskey (Yankunytjatjara – Iwantja Arts), Jazz Money (Wiradjuri and Irish), Yabini Kickett (Bibulmun/Noongar), and Amanda Bell (Badimia and Yued Noongar). This exhibition seeks to amplify the vital roles of Aboriginal women as custodians, connectors, and community leaders. Through their art, these women share stories of resilience, kinship, and the unique ways they sustain and nurture their relationships with land, family, and identity.
