Air Bare presents their first-ever aerial photographic exhibition, A Take on Minimalism, in February. This remarkable exhibition showcases the creative collaboration of Sarah and Lucy Jenkins, a mother and daughter duo who have an exceptional talent for capturing vibrant, captivating, and thought-provoking photographic images from a unique perspective. By embracing the concept of minimalism in their photography, they peel away the distractions of daily life, allowing viewers to focus on the pure essence of beauty. Lucy, an architectural graduate with Foster + Partners in London, combines her expertise with Sarah's artistic vision to create stunning visuals. Despite Sarah's muscular dystrophy, which confines her to a wheelchair, she skillfully operates a drone with a remote control in her lap, enabling her to capture breathtaking aerial shots. Together, they have garnered numerous awards and global recognition for their work, fueled by their shared passion for minimalism. Founder of Air Bare, Sarah Jenkins, describes the joy of art as a transformative experience that has given her a sense of identity beyond her disability. Now, they are excited to share their creations with the people of Perth, as they believe that the world is their canvas. The exhibition will showcase their most acclaimed pieces, featuring images from Fremantle, country Western Australia, and Far North Queensland, where Air Bare was initially launched in 2020. In addition to the exhibition, Air Bare will be supporting Neuromuscular WA by holding a raffle for one of their prints. This initiative reflects their commitment to giving back to the community. Visitors can also enjoy free entry to the exhibition. Don't miss out on this extraordinary opportunity to explore the world through the lens of Air Bare's minimalistic aerial photography. Expression Of Interest for the Funny Monday Project in Perth is coming to a close very soon. Shahar Hason and Yohay Sponder will be bringing their comedic brilliance straight from Tel Aviv to Fremantle. The event is live and kicking, with the current statement made on February 5th, 2024. The concept for this show came together just over a week and a half ago, and to ensure its feasibility and secure approval from the artists, a pre-sale was initiated. The goal was to reach a minimum of one hundred initial ticket sales. Initially, the event was scheduled for Friday, March 8th, but after valuable feedback from the community, it was decided to move the event to Thursday, March 7th to accommodate Sabbath observers facing scheduling conflicts. Both dates are being retained for now as the situation continues to evolve. If the event proceeds, it will be held on Thursday, March 7th, featuring two back-to-back performances with an intermission between sets for refreshments, cleaning, and organization. However, the vision is to do two shows back-to-back, but that will be decided once there are enough ticket holders for the first show. Achieving the initial ticket sales goal will determine the official operating hours. In the event of an overwhelming response, a similar schedule to that of Friday will be considered. The support of the community is crucial in bringing top Israeli artists to Australia. Flight tickets have already been secured and paid for upfront, except for Perth. Reaching the sales target will allow for confirming travel arrangements, covering associated costs, and securing accommodations. The venue has limited capacity, so the first one hundred tickets sold will be allocated to the first show, with subsequent sales earmarked for the second show. The team behind Funny Monday expresses their gratitude for the support thus far and looks forward to the possibility of welcoming everyone to this memorable and successful gathering.
