Every event will feature a different theme usually around your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Words weaved into the meditation will formulate a guided intentional experience that is both healing and relaxing. I'm usually guided intuitively what to bring my attention to. Therapeutic Sound soothes, calms, and quietens the mind, triggering your body's own innate ability to self-regulate and heal. The sound frequencies and vibrations emitted will bathe your mind, body and soul back toward a greater state of wellness and equilibrium. For the remainder of 2024, and so for the next 4 sessions at least, we will be working with BIG CATS. For those of you that regularly attend my sound baths know by now that I adore working with animals and the natural world. They have so much to teach us in a world full of chaos right now! Why Big Cats? I've no idea! When an idea comes to me I just go with it, see what happens and learn and explore during the process . Michael Chekhov Workshops for Actors and Directors | ArtsEd

London
Arts
Theater
In this five-workshop series, directors and actors will use Michael Chekhov's training tools -- atmospheres, psychological gestures, archetypes, qualities of movement and imaginary centres -- to create fully embodied characters and powerfully charged scenes. This class is taught by Anna Barkan, Associate Acting Teacher and Chekhov specialist at LAMDA. Anna worked as an actor in Russia, where she trained at the Vakhtangov Theatre School before receiving an MA at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has been working with and teaching the Chekhov technique for over 25 years. It's a practical course: morning sessions (10:00-1:00) will focus on building a toolkit, and afternoon sessions (2:00-5:00) will give actors and directors the opportunity to try them out with scenework. Students will leave the class with a strong (or deepened!) understanding of how to use this rich technique to make their work more vibrant and alive. Join us! This class is suitable for working and training theatremakers alike, for those with a previous knowledge of Michael Chekhov or a budding interest. Dates: 27 October, 3 November, 10 November, 17 November, 24 November Fees are £250 for the entire series. One-off or shorter packages are also available -- just ask. To book or inquire, please email us at michaelchekhovworkshops@gmail.com. Information Source: Anna Barkan | eventbrite

Passing through London 2024 6th edition! BOOK NOW, LIMITED PLACES. Let's keep up, people! Follow us on instagram @passingthroughlondon, or give us your email address to add you at the mailing list. This is a JAM that is focused to people who have already experienced a few times before. Although, the first 30-40min is open to people who are not experienced. WHAT IS PASSING THROUGH? “In the making of movement compositions, David Zambrano focuses on creating and developing the dynamics for complex systems to present leadership in the form of a group web. In science, cells do not need a protein leader to create life. Neither does the brain need one protein leader to create a thought. With this in mind, Zambrano feels that movement needs no leader in creation. The “passing through” takes students through various exercises to manifest that same philosophy. The group will create dynamics that will be flexible, complex, getting the group to fit tight together, yet always keeping doors open for the unpredictable. The group moves constantly, transforming the environment of the dance.” Check David Zambrano website for more details. We are a collective of dance teachers and artists who follows and transmit his work in London (with his respect, yes, he is alive). And himself @chuchizambrano, does his work at @tictacartcentre Information Source: Passing Through London | eventbrite

Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship. We have called this option 'Which Witch'. The bottom price is for those who struggle to meet their basic needs and paying for this class would be a significant hardship. We have called this option 'Daughters of Darkness'. *For folx who are unable to pay anything, please email us at ashrideslondon@gmail.com, there are a handful of no cost bikes available in every ride. There are a small number of bikes in every ride which are priced higher than the actual cost of the class. These are solidarity tickets which allow those with the means to do so to 'pay it forward' and subsidise the lower/no cost tickets. We have called these tickets 'Witchcraft'. (Please note we cannot offer refunds, but if you're unable to make it, let us know at least 48 hours ahead of the class and we'll do what we can to transfer your ticket to another Ash Rides London class, subject to availability)! THANK YOU :) Information Source: Ash Rides London | eventbrite
