We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. How Does It Work?This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. StructureA. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. Eine Gruppe von Künster:innen hat sich zusammengefunden um bei Kultur gegen das VERGESSEN mit einer Ausstellung, Filmen, Lesungen am Wochenende vom 24. bis 26. Geboren in Deutschland, emigrierte er 1939 nach Schweden, wo er den größten Teil seines Lebens verbrachte. Sein bekanntes Drama Die Ermittlung basiert auf den Aussagen / oder Akten der Frankfurter Auschwitz-Prozesse und beleuchtet die Gräueltaten des Holocaust. Weiss setzte sich in seinen Arbeiten kritisch mit Themen wie Macht, Gerechtigkeit und menschlichem Leid auseinander. Der deutsch-amerikanische Künstler, Musiker und Komponist Bob Rutman wurde 1931 in Berlin geboren und emigrierte 1938 mit seiner Familie aus dem nationalsozialistischen Deutschland in die USA. Nach dem Fall der Berliner Mauer kehrte Rutman 1990 dauerhaft in seine Geburtsstadt zurück und wurde zu einem festen Bestandteil der Berliner Kunstszene. Er starb 2021 in Berlin. In der Galerie werden die Bilder von Anna Mesniankina gezeigt. Die Malereien zeigen Elemente aus der Natur bis hin zu abstrakten Kompositionen. Ihre Bilder sind eine komplexe innere Reflexion auf das aktuelle Zeitgeschehen. Andreas Lechner, Richard Arame und Jens Schmidlwerden den Abend musikalisch begleiten. 25. 01. 2025 - 17:00 Uhr - Kino in der KulturBrauerei, Schönhauser Allee 36, 10435 Berlin DIE ERMITTLUNG ist ein 240-minütiger Kinofilm des Regisseurs RP Kahl. Es ist ein Hybridprojekt aus Film, Theater und Broadcast-Elementen, mit (welche Namen nennen??? Die 8 wichtigsten? Auch wenn sie nicht lesen?). Der Film nutzt als Drehbuch das Theaterstück „Die Ermittlung“ von Peter Weiss. Das Oratorium basiert auf Protokollen, Zeitungsveröffentlichungen und persönlichen Aufzeichnungen Peter Weiss der Auschwitzprozesse, die in den Jahren 1963 bis 1965, in Frankfurt am Main stattfand. Im Film erzählen 28 Zeuginnen und Zeugen von ihren schrecklichen Erlebnissen und Beobachtungen im Lager. Who has not ever wished to slip into a painting of earlier times, to meet the people there and to learn how they lived at that time? The exhibition “Rein in the painting! A journey through time for children" invites children and families, one of the four famous Augsburg monthly pictures from the 16th century. century to discover. Like in a pop-up book, they immerse themselves in the painting and the life of time. People depicted in the painting become storytelling figures and opening up access to the four themes: people, play, trade and nature. But did life really look like this 500 years ago? What does the painting tell us about the past and what does it not show us?

Do you really know what Impressionism is? It is against this background that the exhibition comes into play, presenting rarely exhibited works by well-known artists, as well as new discoveries that have not yet appeared. This different kind of Impressionism - going beyond painting - brings atmospheric moods to paper with new or rediscovered printing techniques. The artists depicted impressions of shadows, steam and smoke, mist and rain, night and electric light. They experimented with clichéd primitive photographic techniques and used sunlight to expose their hand-painted glass plate negatives. In abstract black and white etchings, they painted vibrating lines to capture the fleeting reflections of light on moving water. The depiction of shadows, of immateriality, especially appealed to lithographers to create picturesque and mysterious impressions.

Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of Evil) by Charles Baudelaire is one of the milestones of world literature. First published in Paris in 1857, the volume caused a scandal that led to Baudelaire being taken to court. Despite these less than auspicious beginnings, the poems were to have an enormous impact. In literature as well as in art, they laid the foundations for a new aesthetic that overturned the traditional idea of the oneness of the beautiful and the good. Taking Odilon Redon’s charcoal drawing Fleur du Mal (c. 1890) in the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection as its starting point, the exhibition takes the visitor on a journey through the art of the early modernist period all the way to contemporary works that shed light on the various aspects of Baudelaire’s aesthetics as well as its after- and side effects. In addition to a small selection of works that were created as a direct response to his poems, the exhibition focuses on specific themes that are central to Les Fleurs du Mal.
