Se posant en « moraliste sceptique », Denys Arcand explore dans son dernier film des sujets de société assez controversés allant de la rectitude politique aux questions identitaires. Le film raconte l'histoire de Jean-Michel, un archiviste pré-retraité qui cherche ses repères face aux nombreux changements qui traversent la société québécoise. Il est d'abord exaspéré par un groupe de manifestants qui arrive pour exiger que l'établissement retire une installation artistique jugée insultante pour les Premières Nations, mais au final il trouve un nouvel amour et une nouvelle joie de vivre dans cette expérience.
Le film a été sélectionné pour le Festival du film francophone d'Angoulême 2023 et pour le Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec.
Avec Rémy Girard et Sophie Lorain.
En version originale avec des sous-titres anglais.
