The Out Seer is a unique alt-rock indie band comprised of Ashley Pearce (vocals/guitar), Amanda Chan (vocals/keys), Davis Yates (guitar), Lachlan Tocher (bass), and Aybars Savat (drums). The band members first met while studying music at Selkirk College in Nelson, British Columbia, where they formed lasting bonds and friendships. After graduation, life’s twists and turns brought them all to Vancouver, where they continued to collaborate on various projects until Ashley finally rallied the group to focus on creating original music together as four-piece. The Out Seer’s fifth member, pianist Amanda Chan, entered the fold more recently. Aybars and Ashley initially connected with Amanda while teaching at a private music school as fellow instructors. The girls perform as a duo around town, blending piano, guitar, and vocal harmonies. When the band realized the magic that keys could bring to their sound, Amanda was the obvious choice to join the lineup. Each member of The Out Seer brings unique expertise and musical perspective to the table, creating a well-rounded and dynamic group. Collectively, they hold diplomas from Selkirk College’s Contemporary Music & Technology Program, and one member holds a Bachelor of Music from UBC. Based in the Greater Vancouver Area, they are an active and versatile ensemble, balancing a variety of gigs, recording sessions, and other musical projects out of their home base at Apricot Music Studios. Third Space Charity's Continued Learning Series Grief Therapist Facilitator Training Date: September 18-20, 2025 Time: 9am-4pm Location: Landmark 4 building, lower lobby, room #2 Description: Join Clair Jantzen for this 3-day intensive workshop geared towards those with an interest in being equipped to lead support groups focused on grief and loss. Participants will experience what it's like to be involved with others who are navigating loss. It is an intensely personal journey as we learn to open ourselves up to the losses of our own lives, share them with others and receive the content of their experiences, too. The facilitator will model the leadership role, leading the participants on the journey of grief exploration. At the end of the workshop, you will have a duplicatable program which you can implement in your own sphere of service. The workshop employs small and large group sessions along with personal time and working lunches. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own beverages and food to stay refreshed throughout the event. Water, coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day all three days.
