The festival will take place from March 7th to March 9th, 2024, coinciding with International Women's Day. ClassicsFest will feature an open access program curated by Cinzia Hardy, focusing on the universal theme of women and love in the ancient world. The inspiration for this exploration comes from "Heroides" by the Roman poet Ovid. Written two thousand years ago, "Heroides" consists of poems in the form of letters from female characters to mythical heroes. The festival will spotlight four contemporary retellings of these letters in the form of dramatic monologues, performed by professional actors and speaking to modern audiences. Hercules of the Hills 20 - Novice Powerlifting Competition is an open event that welcomes lifters of all levels.
