Longnan County (龙南县), known as “the world capital of walled villages and hometown of Hakka walled villages in China,” is situated at the southern end of Jiangxi Province. The county belongs to Ganzhou City, and is a typically pure Hakka county, where the Hakka language (the Ninglong dialect) is spoken, giving the area a rich flavor of Hakka culture. Famous attractions include Xiaowudang Mountain, the Guanxi Xinwei Hakka Walled Village, the Jade Immortal Rock, Jiulian Mountain and the Anji Mountain Primeval Forest.
