Compared to Nha Trang in Vietnam, I have a deeper affection for this little World Heritage town
Located a two and a half hour train ride from Da Nang, Hue, the former capital of Vietnam, is home to the Hue Imperial City, An Dinh Palace, royal tombs, and more, with historical relics everywhere, thus it has been designated as a World Cultural Heritage site👏🏻
Renting a motorcycle🛵 to roam around, or walking🚲 through the ancient streets, you can touch the civilization of the past in this open-air historical museum called Citywalk. Quieter than Hanoi, more rustic than Hoi An, the niche yet treasured Hue is really worth a visit❗️❗️

🎈Electronic payment is not friendly in Hue, prepare enough cash

Historical type person gonna love this place. Overall score 8.5/10 because i’m an average historical person 😅
It is an old palace, but many buildings have been destroyed with the war.
not much really to do in the citadel itself other than enjoy the view around you, which is incredible. the size of the fortress is impressive and the huge flag flying over it makes for a great atmosphere.
