Traveling to Tibet, we have completed the trip of the Great Northern Line of Ali and returned to Lhasa. We stayed at the Snow Dragon Manor Hotel. Before I booked the room, I had seen a comment saying that there was a bakery in this hotel, a traditional Tibetan bakery, so I had been thinking about going to see it and try the difference between Tibetan bread and our Cantonese bread. The bakery is not conspicuous. It is on the other side of the hotel room. You have to take the elevator to the fourth floor. When the elevator door opens, there is only this store. I walked around it. There are ice cream cabinets and bread cabinets near the door. The waiter said that the bread is fresh and all on the same day. When I went there, it was about 11 o'clock in the morning. There were only a few breads in the bread cabinet at that time. I almost sold only these. It turned out that they had not been taken out. When the waiter took out all the bread, there were many varieties to choose from, but we couldn't finish it, so we only chose a large bag, which was said to be made of highland barley flour and tasted a bit rough.
This is also a restaurant, a Western-style simple meal restaurant, with desserts, drinks, ice cream, and gifts. You can exchange gifts, that is, accumulate points and buy gifts at a preferential price, or you can buy gifts directly, but the price will be relatively high. There are many varieties of gifts to choose from, including thermos cups, ordinary ceramic cups, clothes, plates, boxes, etc., which are available on shelves and mobile display carts. You can slowly choose and buy. I bought a portion of fried tofu, which is very special, crispy on the outside and like old tofu on the inside. It seems to be ten yuan a portion, not expensive, and it is free to pack. Buy bread and get sauce for free, all homemade, I chose papaya sauce, which is not very sweet.
