Yichang is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The city's surroundings and environment are both elegant and beautiful, as well as rich in abundant tourist sites of interest. Yichang is the origin site of Bachu Culture. This is the hometown of historical celebrities such as Wang Zhaojun and Qu Yuan. There are also many historical and cultural relics such as the Guanling Mausoleum and Three Kingdoms Battlefield. Yichang is also the hub of many giant hydropower projects such as the Three Gorges and Gezhouba Dam. A visit to Yichang is incomplete without having seen the beautiful Three Gorges.
