SHARMIN K:“This is the most beautiful palace I've ever been to. The Czar family and Catherine the Great used to spend summers there. The most beautiful part of the palace is the Amber room, where the whole room is made out of Amber Stone. You can even buy Amber- made souvenirs like bracelets and key chains on the ground floor at the souvenir shops in the palace. Catherine Palace was destroyed in WW2 when it was bombed by the Germans. Today, it has been restored to its former glory. The Amber Room itself took over 24 years to restore! You will be given special socks to wear inside the palace so as not to damage the wooden floor of the palace. You can also request audio headphones in English in case you need translation as the guide only speaks Russian.”
_M1***13:“[Attractions] The Catherine Palace, Catherine Gardens, Alexander Gardens, the Amber Room, and the Golden Room are all worth seeing.

Sholence:“It's not as shocking as I imagined, but as the number one attraction in St. Petersburg, I have to check it out. It's actually quite painful for people who don't know a little about Western art. I personally prefer the Ye Palace.”
遇见美景,快乐欣赏:“The city of Pushkin, also known as the "Imperial Village", is located about 25 kilometers south of St. Petersburg. It is mainly composed of two palaces, Catherine Palace and Alexander Palace. With the palace complex as the center, it integrates colorful garden architecture with classical romance, Baroque and exotic styles, showing the beauty brought by the changing of the four seasons. It has a special artistic conception in late autumn.”
SHARMIN K:“Take a boat ride just outside the church over at the bridge or just walk across and go shopping. This is a tourist district, so there's a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, and tavernas. There's stalls selling Russian handicrafts whereby you can bargain! ...Highly recommend! The boat rides are only available in summer, as during winter, the temperature freezes over the river.”
AlexZhA:“A boat trip on the Neva River in Saint Petersburg is a breathtaking way to experience the city's stunning architecture and rich history. As you glide past iconic landmarks like the Winter Palace and Peter and Paul Fortress, the views are simply mesmerizing. The gentle sway of the boat, combined with the serene atmosphere of the river, makes for a perfect afternoon escape in this beautiful city.”

SHARMIN K:“The architecture of this cathedral is simply breathtaking, and whereby you can go inside to take photos, attend mass, or purchase tickets & and go up the spiral stairs for an overview of the city! Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth outside the church at the entrance. Summers are incredibly busy and crowded. This is a must-see as the inside of the church is very colourful! You can also purchase souvenirs inside the church.”
吃苹果的麻雀呀:“Tsarskoye Selo (Царское Село), the location of the Catherine Palace, is about 25 kilometers south of St. Petersburg. In order to highlight the status of the royal territory, the area where the Catherine Palace is located (including the Alexander Palace, the Alexander Garden and the White Tower Observation Deck, etc.) was called Tsarskoye Selo or Tsarskoye Selo after its construction. In 1937, in memory of Pushkin who spent his childhood here, it was renamed Pushkin Village (Pushkin/Tsarskoe Selo). For more than 200 years, it has been a summer resort for the nobility.”
逍遥影使:“I have a DVD of "Swan Lake" at home and watch it often. During this trip to St. Petersburg, I was fortunate to enjoy the Swan Lake performance at the internationally renowned Mariinsky Theater. The scale of the performance was very impressive and the performance was pleasing to the eyes. Although the ticket price was high, it was worth it. Unfortunately, you cannot take photos or videos during the performance.”
